Vbulletin software?

Hello,

I'm thinking of setting up a message base with my site (or a site I'm considering setting up) and was wondering how well the vbulletin software works. It seems a lot of sites use it, including some with a lot of traffic (watchfarscape.com, gateworld.com, gallifreyone.com).

Any info or feedback would be appreciated.

I've been happy with the vBulletin package so far. The setup was fairly easy and the package has a decent number of useful user features. The admin features are also well designed and system has been stable and reliable.

The difficulty of customizing the pages ranges from easy to very time consuming depending on which element you want to change.

I do wish they would add support for MS SQL Server (in addition to MySql).
