Thanks for the information. I'll look into either adding a google link or archiving the related message on the site.

The easiest way to hook into the Google Groups service is to use the message ID. The simplest URL you can construct is:
http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=k5WdnT0z3aE69krd4p2dnA%40adelphia.com
http://groups.google.com/groups?group=rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.moderated&sel m=k5WdnT0z3aE69krd4p2dnA%40adelphia.com
Actually, another useful feature would be to include the thread ID - that way you could pull together JMS messages on the same thread.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been thinking about ways to address this problem for awhile. Linking to google groups might be possible, however I'm not sure there is an automated way to compute the correct URL. I'll check on that.

JMS Posting Contexts
Whilst this service is pretty neat, one thing that would be excellent would be some way to get the context of JMS' postings, since he is very stringent about trimming everything but the bare essentials. As a result, a lot of jmsnews is a bit too Vorlonish for most people to read. Perhaps there could be a link to Google newsgroups so we can read the message he is replying to, and subsequent replies to his posting?Tags: None
