JMSNEWs being Slow

Is it just me or has JMSnews gotten alot slower at updating the front page of the site. Its seemed that until recently that the site would have JMS post up within a few hours to a day after he posted them. Now it seems longer...

No, it's not just you-there are several posts missing at the moment.

A while back there was a spammer who was posting some grotesque 'cannibal' recipes under people's handles to the moderated group. A few got through under JMS's and, iirc, DougO changed the automatic addition of the posts to a manual operation.

It's been a while since the spammer's been seen and I've posted a note to Doug to ask about changing it back. If that's the cause, that is...

Yes, there were bags of 'swag' available to be given but that was because we (Amy and I) were conducting 'shadow' Babylon 5 discussion panels and simply wanted to have something nice available for the people who participated.

It was certainly never a bribe! (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
