I received my copy for my birthday (August 24). I was thinking of skipping ahead to the B5/Crusade stuff but decided to start from the beginning. Definitely the same JMS from the script book intros and stuff. We've been visiting my sister-in-law over the long weekend and I have found more time to read. It has been fascinating so far. Hard to believe he went through so much stuff.

I have a feeling I'll put this on my Hugo nomination ballot for Best Related Book.

Update from JMS regarding the book plates.

Update on the Becoming Superman bookplates: 70% are now out the door, getting past the delays caused by no addresses and the injuries, and now that my signature looks mostly like mine again will focus on getting the last 30% out the door in the next few weeks.

When asked on Twitter he said there won't me more made available for now.

But you already know it has a happy ending. His posts online never approached what he lived through. It's a story of the power of one mind to make a decision to NOT put up with the hand that one has been dealt.

You could start with the mini-ish autobiography-ish that is in the Introduction for the The Coming of Shadows "script book" from 1998.

I've been reading the chapters for Becoming Superman backwards. Reading the Later Parts first makes it a little easier (and less depressing-ish) to handle the Earlier Parts.
