Anyway to watch Sence8 without netflix?

    Anyway to watch Sence8 without netflix?

    I haven't really been following this or netflix that closely. Most of what i watch is either on basic cable or via DVD.

    Will either of those be an option here, or will i HAVE to get netflix to ever be able to watch his new show?

    well there are several answers to that question

    Firstly, netflix do release DVDs of their self produced shows if they are popular enough, both to sell in markets they are not in yeet and also, presumably for further money to plough in to new shows.

    Also they are providing JMS and the wachowskis pretty much free reign on this, alng the lines of "here is a pile of money, go make the show you want to make" so we should support this model far better than the ad driver, cancelled in 3 episodes network tv model, netflix will now run under certain linuxes using the chrome browser so no worries if you feel you do not have a suitable device.

    Finally, netflix offer a free one month trial so you coulld either wait until the show comes ou then sign up just to watch or sign up now and see what they have, perhas you will find shows you like.

    I adore netflix as there is amost no english language tv here in finland and due to study commitments I can only watch tv here and there, the whole on demand aspect means i can look at what i want, when i want and thanks to the auto resume featre, it also means I take my library witih me and can watch while in the move.

    Take from this message what you will but I think for me, it is worth the few euros a month it costs.

      We were discussing this on a different site just yesterday. I was expecting that new original content wouldn't be included in the free trial but somebody said that they were pretty sure that it was. That said, I'd be sure to keep it an extra month and pay for that because it wouldn't feel right to me to get 10 hours of entertainment for free. But if budget's an issue, go for it!

      Can anybody give any info on how long one would have to wait for the DVD to be released? I'm pretty sure to want that, too.

        I just hope they don't take forever to show it on German Netflix, as they seem to want to dub everything before they release it (groan), even though any rational person will ignore the dubbed version...

          This was also a question at Loscon and JMS said that Netflix would at some point release Sense8 on DVD but it might take a year or so.
