  • Dracula TV series / Carnival Creator David Knauf

Noticed this on Bleeding Cool today, and thought for a moment it pertained to the Studio JMS Vlad Dracula project. Looks like the show will have some competition, but I imagine this will come at it from a very different angle.

Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.

    Kosh: Good!

Yeah, this is *very* different from what JMS described at SDCC for what he had planned. JMS described his as Dracula trying to keep his humanity and his love while learning the rules of his new existance after becoming a vampire.

      That's a nice story angle, I hope he's successful.
The last Vampire series I really liked was 'Forever Knight'

A drama about an 800 year old, angst ridden vampire who lives in present day Toronto as a homicide detective.
      - Thought provoking, like something JMS would write.

Forever Knight: Created by Barney Cohen, James D. Parriott. With Geraint Wyn Davies, Catherine Disher, Nigel Bennett, Deborah Duchene. 800-year-old vampire Nick Knight quests for redemption as a cop in Toronto, trying to hide his vampiric nature from the rest of the world.

That is good, and I'm glad there will be something to help separate the two.

Did you (or Dave Narn) watch Carnivale? Seriously great show, with real solid story arcs and foreshadowing like B5. As per usual canceled before it's time, so we only got two seasons.
