Finally watched an episode!

Poor forum ;( Hasn't had any threads in 30 days. I went through today and read every post in here, only two pages worth, so not too hard.

It all sounded pretty good, then I found that someone put up almost all of episode one up on youtube. I saw all of it except for the last ten minutes, but that episode was good enough that I knew I had to go buy this series.

The season one dvd is still easy to get on amazon. Only like $12.88, but season two was going for $54.00, and so I downloaded season two from itunes for $27.00

From the pilot I love Jeremiah, Theo, Kurdy, Elizabeth, and Marcus respectively. I am very excited about being able to get into this series. I've put it off for a long time now because I wasn't sure if I was a JMS fangirl or just a Babylon 5, fangirl.

I mean Changling was good, but I would never buy it, but I loved Thor, and Jeremiah looks amazing, as well. So maybe I'm in between?

Jeremiah was an amazing series. I had to wait for the first season to be on DVD before watching it because none of our stations were carrying it. I knew early on that I wuld like the series because of the potential of story arcs like there were in Babylon 5 with JMS being involved with the series.
I think my favourite episodes were the ones that had flash back stories of what was happening while the Big Death was sweeping around the world.
Jeremiah is yet another example of a great series cut too short.

I'm sure I've been pretty vocal in the past that I didn't care for the Sam Egan episodes at all. I loved the entire second season unreservedly, though. Heck, I'd have even given it a try if they'd done a third season even without JMS.

Oh, that ending was incredible. Not to spoil anything for Delenn, but the way JMS managed to leave it both a satisfactory ending if the show ended or a perfect cliffhanger in case they decided to continue the show was masterful.

I agree completely, Jan. I was a little concerned going into it since I saw it after the fact and new it had been cancelled after 2 seasons. It wouldn't have stopped me from watching, but it can be really disappointing when a relatively young series is cancelled. You get to the last produced episode and start raging at the television, the network, the studio, life in general... [citation: See "Crusade"]

I totally agree. I know a friend of mine has said several times that he has in essense given up on watching televsion. He stated that he gets so angry when he just gets into a really good series and then learns that the series has been cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons.
I do know that the only reason why he has cable right now is that there's a current promotion with his internet provider. Once that's up, he'll likely give up on television a second time and just watch DVD's/Blurays.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how many different television series over the past ten years or so have fallen into this category of just starting and then suddenly cancelled before it's time.
