PICARD is way up there on my list, but I just haven't gotten to it yet due to the circumstances of whom I will be watching it with.

While we are on the topic, can anyone confirm that it is okay for me to watch PICARD without having seen STAR TREK DISCOVERY?
Yup you'll be fine. No direct connections or crossovers.

It is not a game card. It is just a trading card, ie just a collectible. The only game to it is collecting the cards you want. 😁 In this case I have collected a few Star Trek Autograph cards - this one from the film STAR TREK INSURRECTION (1998).

Hey Looney, what game specifically is it? Is it the Decipher Star Trek card game? If so, there's a massive online community as the game continues via a Players Committee. Perhaps worth contacting Category One Games who specialise in dead CCGs. The Dead CCG Collectors FB group is a great place to buy, trade and sell. Very active. Even if it isn't the Decipher game, these groups should be able to help.

Keeping you updated. I have had zero luck. Trekbbs didn't really appear to have any discussions related to trading cards, just gaming cards. If anyone knows I am missing one please let me know. I did find a site that proclaimed Trek Card expertise. I contacted them on the 11th and they have not responded. I will keep looking. I may have to delve into the seedy underworld of general non-sport trading card forums or worse, Facebook. 🤣😂🤣😂😆😆😆 (I'm pretty certain that anyone on those forums would LOVE my description of "seedy underworld of general non-sport trading card forums".)

BTW, any suggestions from this seedy underworld on the best forums for Non-Sport Trading Cards? It has been YEARS since I regularly collected cards, so I am very out of that loop.

Thanks for all the info. I am actually just looking for some technical info on autographed Trek trading cards. I have a Patrick Stewart autograph card and I am worried it is a fake.

I am looking for information and since this is the most recent Trek discussion I am starting here. Also on B5TV

What is the biggest fan discussion board for Trek? I am looking for some possibly obscure info. Many of you may not have seen posts I made in the past in the B5 Trading card thread, but now I am looking for some Trek Trading card info. So does anyone know the best source to ask Trek fans that info?

Thank you for the time you spent reading this post....
Looney, I happen to be pretty well informed on dead CCGs / TCGs. There is a continuing players committee for the Decipher ST CCG. You can play online for free and the cards can be printed via something like Makeplayingcards.com. Also, check out the Dead CCG Collectors group on Facebook. There will also surely be a Reddit group for the old Decipher Trek CCG. You can pick up complete sets for peanuts, also Hills Wholesale Gaming (if you are in the USA) does booster boxes very cheap.

Have you tried TrekBBS? https://www.trekbbs.com/ It's owned by the same person as B5TV but much bigger and more active.

There were characters? I think I saw a different show. The character development was almost non-existent. We get so little time which each character, it's really hard to get any feeling for who they really are. As I said, the slavish devotion to 'the arc', which was pretty awful, just ruined the show for me. It's one of the few examples where I think the season long arc was just detrimental to telling a good story within each episode. Don't get me started on the pointless cameos.

DISCO was definitely a lot better than this. I am hoping S2 sees a reboot of the formula and we get some fun adventures with the new crew bonding and finding their voices as characters.

    haha yeah same!

I thought Discovery season 1 was okay but there were many things that annoyed me. Season 2 was a huge improvement for me however that was mainly due to the additional cast members playing Pike, Spock and Number One on the enterprise, there was still some silly stuff (lazy writing plot hole things as usual) that annoyed me though. Season 3 loses those great additions so I fear it'll disappoint me again lol. My love of the Disco season 2 Enterprise content of course also leaves me super excited for Star Trek Strange New Worlds (aka the Star Trek Pike show fans demanded heh) as they've said it will be a more traditional episodic Star Trek adventure show on the Enterprise! So hopefully they can't screw that up too much... although there's some rumour (possibly BS) out there that it's also going to have a young bisexual Kirk running about in the show so read into that what you will lol!!

Back to good old Picard.. I've decided I'm not going to call it that anymore now. To me this show shall now be known as 'Patrick Stewart Goes To Space' (PSGTS for short) as there really isn't much Star Trek or Picard in it lol!!! I've been waiting for the 'Critical Drinker' to review PSGTS as I've become an fan of his after seeing his Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker reviews on those cluster****s. Sure enough in the video below you can see he hates it and he talks about Picard himself being rather useless just like I talked about in my episode reviews earlier in this thread. Yes I know hating on stuff is kind of his gimmick haha but he makes good points that match a lot of my previously posted thoughts.

This is Patrick Stewart Goes To Space!

And this is Star Trek Picard baby!!

Also the end "oh the synth ban has been removed" just because the Romulan plot was revealed seems such an easy fix. Why not explore this in the second season? I don't think people get rid of laws just because it was found to be implemented on false pretenses. I like in Babylon 5 that our characters knew Psi Corps assassinated the Earth president but instead of it solving everything it further isolated our crew and spun out in all sorts of interesting directions.

The arc on Picard seemed built more on audience surprises than what events might logically follow others.

I liked the characters of this show a lot but I thought the plot ended up all over the place and not meaning much in the end.
