It will be interesting to see what happens with the new Buffy show. I am still a huge Buffy (and Firefly) fan so I'll definitely watch it. But as a rule I'm skeptical of sequels or reboots. Sure Battlestar Galactica was, initially, good, but I'm still burned by the whole Star Wars thing.

And Buffy is not about vampires, they are just part of the scenery

Not very entertaining. But I think the kid in me still likes hearing scary stories. Podcasts work for that.
Well, the kid in me still fears the darker Grimm tales...

Advice to watch : "Dark Matter" first, cause "The 100" is too "teenieesque" in general.

And I don't have problems either with Joss Whedon since I LOVE Firefly, where strong females are set.

But in general I really like not very much the horror genre, were the "Vampires" are part of it (Not Nosferatu, not Dracula even not the underworldies of Buffy.

Examples for actual strong females in SF-series: "Dark Matter" and "The 100".
Where the latter for my tender temper is in the long run a bit to bloody for nothing.

And remakes seem to be in these days.

It was a fun show, and very savy with the way it played with horror tropes and pop culture.

    I'm out.
With Buffy (and Angel) I never was in.
    Simply because I HATE VAMPIRES.
    You don't? ;-)
