  • Gearing Up for Sense8 Celebration Auction

Happy b-day, Sensates! I saw some people posting on social media about this auction that's going on, some like it and some don't. I see both perspectives but after looking, I'm convinced that there's a lot of tastefulness and forethought involved and that respect is on the minds of the people doing the auction. That's my two cents anyway. Not to mention the items look so beautiful and remind me why this is the best show I've ever seen.

So, thought you might want to take a look - I'd be interested to know if anyone else is as excited as me for the free prop giveaway?

    Thanks, that's rather cool.

I'm a big believer in the trappings of great shows being preserved. In the case of these items, I'd take a very close look at the auction copy when it goes live. Make sure that it specifies that an item is screen used for there to be any real value. Costumes and props always have extras made.

Same caveat for the giveaway badges.

ETA: It's worth mentioning that I've bought a few things from the Prop Store and while they're often overpriced, they do have good stuff and their shipping is top-notch.

    Thanks for sharing this!

      Wow, very nice!!
My posts are my own opinion and do not represent JMSNews.com's opinions or views. As it's written under my handle I'm "just a fan".

Hey all - going crazy monitoring the Sense8 auction but things are finally starting to heat up. So far the things I've seen take off the most are Angelica Turing's (Daryl Hannah's) prop revolver:

        ...and Lito's depression long johns.

I wish there was more JMS-specific memorabilia but I'm pretty sure he did all the writing in the documents we saw on screen, like in Riley's gorgeous blue notebook, which they also have:

It was great to see so many people view or respond to this thread - even though we're all bidding for the same items, it doesn't feel competitive because it just shows me that we all treasure the show and wish it well. Kind of beautiful!

Definitely let me know if you win something...and post photos.

While he may have written the words, they were probably transcribed into the notebook by the actress or a crew member. He *definitely* doesn't have handwriting that nice!
