    Emmys for Sense8 this year?

I found a single For Your Consideration disk on Ebay today. The episode is "Happy Fucking New Year". Somebody on Facebook says there's also a full set of DVDs FYC, also.

Iit says: For your consideration in all categories including:
    - Outstanding Drama Series
    - Outstanding Supporting Actor (Onwumere, Reimelt, Silvestre, Smith, Mann, Andrews)
    - Outstanding Supporting Actress (Bae, Clayton, Desai, Middleton, Hannah)
    - Outstanding Director (Lana Wachowski)
    - Outstanding Writing (Wachowski and Straczynski)

I suggested on FB that they include the hashtag #Emmys in all their tweeting for the show. Can't hurt, might call attention to the show to a Television Academy member or two.

In "Best TV Movie" it has the least amount of competition of all categories I believe. (I'm talking about getting nominated; winning, is extremely unlikely.)

Then any of the crafts, like Production Design for example, etc.

Writing, directing, acting: I don't think so.

WOW! Talk about going for broke.

    Anyone have any realistic predictions?

I say Best Directing (Movie/Mini) is definitely a possibility.

I'm not really sure how they came up with those acting choices other than they believe that is the best case scenario for every option. The one I most doubt will happen is Max Riemelt.

Whilst it's not perfect, it was a nice try at something different. I don't think Sense8 stand a chance up against a show as popular as Black Mirror, and the finale might rank alongside the Christmas Special as my least favourite moments of the show. I never saw / experienced Tender Loving Care, but I was definitely familiar with 7th Guest and 11th Hour video games from my youth.

Looks intriguing, have to check that out at some point.

Very doubtful, Black Mirror did clever things with format that really broke the mould for TV, whilst the Sense8 finale (even as a fan) definitely did very little for me.

Plus it's been over a year as of today so it's a thing far in the past, so it's pretty doubtful I would say.

Hmmmm interesting. I wonder if it will work. Honestly I have my doubts unless there are several voters familiar with the show. I just don't know if it stands on its own without being pre-invested in the characters and the two seasons of the show.

According to Variety, Netflix will try to have the Sense8 finale compete for an Emmy for TV movie.

    https://variety.com/2019/tv/in-conte...es-1203233414/

Instead, Netflix is placing its bets on a strategy that has worked for the programmer in recent years: Submitting individual episodes, or special long-form editions, of its series. In 2019, Netflix is only entering two contenders for TV movie, "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch" and "Sense8: Together Until the End."
This is backed by this page: https://fyc.netflix.com/ operated by Netflix, which indeed lists Bandersnatch and Sense8 in the category of Television Movie.

Nominations will be announced on July 16.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story won.

It was nominated for 13 Emmys and 4 Golden Globes, so hard for any title to beat it, really.
