Some more details, it's going to be more than just Lana and Toll: http://camerimage.pl/en/porozmawiajmy-o-sense8/

      LET'S TALK ABOUT "SENSE8"!
We sincerely invite you to the panel discussion with Lana Wachowski and John Toll, ASC about their TV series Sense8.

      16.11, Thursday, 3:30PM
      Festival Centre Opera Nova
      Main Screening Room

Creator/Producer/Director Lana Wachowski and Cinematographer John Toll, ASC, along with key creative crew members of the Netflix series Sense8, discuss challenges and innovative filming technique developed while shooting two seasons of this popular series. Shot entirely on location in 20 cities in 14 different countries, this promises to be a lively discussion of the wild- shoot-like your hair's on fire, improvisational insanity that drove the creation of a very unique cinematic style.

      See you at Camerimage!

The finale has been nominated for a Producers Guild of America award in the category of "Outstanding Producer of Streamed or Televised Motion Pictures", albeit the listing refers to it as "Sense8: Together Until the End". ("Together until the end" was a tag line Netflix used for the finale for advertising purposes, so there's been a bit of a mix-up.) It's also unclear who are the producers that will be nominated as the listing simply has: "Producers: *Eligibility Determination Pending*" in the relevant field. (This isn't specific to Sense8, lots of other series are like that.)

In any case; the ceremony is two weeks from now, on January 19.

Next up, Sense8 received its third GLAAD nomination, this time in the category of TV movie, which I guess the finale can be considered to be. https://www.indiewire.com/2019/01/gl...ol-1202038136/

Outstanding TV Movie or Limited Series
                American Horror Story: Apocalypse (FX)
The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (FX)
                Life-Size 2 (Freeform)
                Sense8 (Netflix)
A Very English Scandal (Amazon Prime)

The ceremony will take place on March 28.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story won.

It was nominated for 13 Emmys and 4 Golden Globes, so hard for any title to beat it, really.

According to Variety, Netflix will try to have the Sense8 finale compete for an Emmy for TV movie.

                      https://variety.com/2019/tv/in-conte...es-1203233414/

Instead, Netflix is placing its bets on a strategy that has worked for the programmer in recent years: Submitting individual episodes, or special long-form editions, of its series. In 2019, Netflix is only entering two contenders for TV movie, "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch" and "Sense8: Together Until the End."
This is backed by this page: https://fyc.netflix.com/ operated by Netflix, which indeed lists Bandersnatch and Sense8 in the category of Television Movie.

Nominations will be announced on July 16.

Hmmmm interesting. I wonder if it will work. Honestly I have my doubts unless there are several voters familiar with the show. I just don't know if it stands on its own without being pre-invested in the characters and the two seasons of the show.

Plus it's been over a year as of today so it's a thing far in the past, so it's pretty doubtful I would say.

Very doubtful, Black Mirror did clever things with format that really broke the mould for TV, whilst the Sense8 finale (even as a fan) definitely did very little for me.

Bandersnatch was really meh for me. "Your choices matter (but not really)" video games have been a dime a dozen since 2012 or so (Telltale's The Walking Dead) and do this interactivity much better, so that was very disappointing coming from someone like Brooker, who is well familiar with video games to not be able to make something exciting out of it. For me Bandersnatch felt about as exciting as Tender Loving Care from the 90s, if one remembers that.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tender...e_(video_game)

But I hear Sodembergh's Mosaic finally did the concept justice, although I haven't watched it myself. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosaic_(murder_mystery)

Whilst it's not perfect, it was a nice try at something different. I don't think Sense8 stand a chance up against a show as popular as Black Mirror, and the finale might rank alongside the Christmas Special as my least favourite moments of the show. I never saw / experienced Tender Loving Care, but I was definitely familiar with 7th Guest and 11th Hour video games from my youth.
