Good god, that was just epic... edge of my seat during the final scenes. And the 'Whispers' made me shed a tear, I kid you not.
As someone who poked fun at the name initially, that hit me like a ton of bricks. You'll know when you see it.
They've knocked it out of the park with this season. All doubts gone, it's like B5 S2 all over again... The writing is water tight.
The depth to BPO, other clusters, it's all just really well thought out, and it's not black and white. Bravo JMS and Lana.Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.
Kosh: Good!

It's like they put all the super-self-indulgent sex scenes and montages in the Christmas special, so that the remaining episodes could be full of plot, plot, plot.
It really does seem like a conscious choice rather than that it just happened to be such a stark difference between the special and the remaining episodes - although I have no idea if it was.My posts are my own opinion and do not represent JMSNews.com's opinions or views. As it's written under my handle I'm "just a fan".

The "DRINK ME" in the basement of the church, was a reference to Alice in the Wonderland, which the Wachowskis have already referenced implicitly in The Matrix with the "drink the pill" and "eat the cookie" scenes, but also more explicitly ("I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes" in said "drink the pill" scene, etc.)
What the Wachowskis' had said about Alice and The Matrix back when it was released:
Was the Alice in Wonderland theme just whim, or do you guys have a big love of it?
Big fan! It is a brilliant book. Many of the themes we tried to echo in The Matrix..Also, part of the intellectual idea behind the film is that it's a journey of consciousness. Early on we reference Alice in Wonderland, because that's a brilliant story in terms of that a child-like consciousness is confronted with a world that she comes into, and all these rules are put on this kid that she doesn't understand. She's told to do things and there's no reason for it and it doesn't make sense to her. The child eventually evolves, and we've tried to do a similar thing with Neo's journey, an evolution of his consciousness toward a higher consciousness."The search--the quest--informs Greek myths ("We have Orpheus and Morpheus in the film," says Larry) as well as Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: "It's a story about consciousness," says Larry, "a child's perception of an adult's world. The Matrix is about the birth and evolution of consciousness. It starts off crazy, then things start to make sense."

Interesting conversation on the FB Sense8 page. The original post:

Did anyone else disagree with amanitas dad when he said violence has a gender in season 2 EP 7? And it's always a guy ? Bit disappointed in the show if they are pushing this ridiculous and false agenda.
