I don't know where to begin. I really enjoyed this. I went back and watched the Christmas Special last night to prepare. This episode did not disappoint. I just watched it a bit ago so maybe I will come back to say more when it digests. I do have many questions I can't wait to have answered.

      - One it seems obvious to me that if Whispers really felt compromised then the only knowledge they gained was who this other piece in the puzzle is. If he felt compromised they would know any cyber attack on that location was coming, so the only good I feel it did was let Whispers know they could get to him. I don't know, I just know I am ready for Will and Riley to get off the train they are on.

      - Were Nomi and Amanita still in Chicago? Are they going to see Will's father?

      - I am soooooooooo ready for Sun to no longer be in prison.

This show has such an incredibly interesting dynamic. On the one hand I keep thinking about how are they going to meet up and help each other in person, but on the other hand they are all dealing with their own struggles and what would having others physically there actually do? In certain circumstances it might be helpful, Wolfgang going to Korea to help extradite Sun from prison is an example. As far as physical skills go Sun, Wolfgang, and Will are the only three that seem to have REAL skills. Lito is an actor and while he may be able to dance and do the dance of movie stunts that doesn't mean he can really defend himself or anyone else in a physical confrontation without Sun's help. Any way my point is that there are three individuals with physical skills that would be helpful if they were physically present in a situation. The other five bring intelligence, heart, and soul - and Capheus can drive. (BTW, totally liking the new Capheus. I feel like the heart and soul of the character are still there, which is what good writing and directing can bring to the table. Don't get me wrong, there is a difference because there is a different actor. I just feel like the difference is easy to look past because the overall feel of the character is consistent with what we were already introduced to.)

      Ooops! Got to run.

Great, great episode. It really hit the ground running. This is kinda what I wanted form the Xmas special, but I understand why it was what it was.

The cat and mouse game with Whispers was beautifully played.

That early scene with Lito, the red carpet interview, almost had me in tears. Beautiful writing and amazing editing.

Super strong opener. Looney, I think the points you raise are valid, and I equally expressed some similar concerns during S1. The cluster are still very vulnerable. I think this will come to the fore in some kind of harsh revelation later on.

Finally got around to watching! Great episode. Enjoyed the Who am I interview with Lito and Capheus. Love the ending with Whispers falling apart. I like how this show has a bigger story that you can just barely see the edges of.

Curious what's gonna happen in Germany with Felix. Seems he just barely survived last season and he's gonna be in for another rough ride.

I completely agree. And I too wonder about Felix's future. He just seems like there is a big target placed on his back.

Agreed. I am going to re-watch the episode right now, for discussing it on the "Sense8 Podcast" with Will Johnson, after binge watching Season 2 and re-watching season 1 and the Special.

Already at this re-watch I noticed a few things in season 1 that point forward to season 2. Looking forward to more re-watches.

So the whole seeing, viewing thing whispers can do. I presume if Caephus has been interviewed and is on television does whispers actually have to be physically present , does there ahve to be an exchange and meeting of the eyes?

Also Caephus has been fairly safe and out of it in Nairobi, with this interview will he come under the scrutiny of BPO.
"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

Good question. I think it has to be 'direct line of sight' in person, kind of like telepaths in B5.

And conscious, too. Remember that Whispers couldn't make contact with Riley when she was drugged even though they were in the same space.

I do like that the 'rules' of the universe are quite stringently adhered to in this respect. It's very JMS.

As I recall, one thing he mentioned in the Sense8 panel at LosCon was that setting the rules was one of the things that took the longest.

                              Yeah! https://creativescreenwriting.com/sense8/

The hardest part was the sitting down in their offices in Chicago and San Francisco to work out the rules, because Science Fiction must have rules. If you don’t have rules it’s no fun. Baseball without rules is a bunch of guys with wooden sticks hitting balls, running around a diamond.

We would rules lawyer each other for days on end. How does this work? If you’re outside of a cluster, how do you make contact? What do they have access to? What are they sharing? What is visiting? What is the difference between that?
