It's been trending for a surprisingly long time. Let's hope that'll help.

The hashtag campaign got a decent visibility by a few somewhat notable blog-like cinema sites:

Netflix's original series Sense8 just premiered its second season, but fans of the show are concerned that there might not be a third.

Netflix has yet to announce whether or not Sense8 will be renewed for Season 3, and that's got fans on Twitter very worried. So worried, in fact, that #RenewSense8 began trending on Tuesday morning. "If we don't show our support for @sense8, it…

'Sense8' star Brian J. Smith urges fans to show Netflix public interest in Season 3, hinting at the Wachowski drama's current renewal status.

Sense8 star Brian J. Smith has joined in with the hashtag #RenewSense8: "This might be a good time to start making some noise."

and a lot of foreign ones.

Bustle reached out to Netflix, perhaps others did too, and while of course they received no response, hopefully this means Netflix became aware of the instant reaction by the fans.

Not quite sure what to make of that.
Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.

          Kosh: Good!

            I don't understand why?

I don't like that Doona is sad, especially about Sun and Sense8. Hopefully it's not about renewal chances. (Toby's comment isn't helping either.)

Toby's comment? All I saw was that he'd retweeted Brian's tweet. Did he post elsewhere?

Toby commented on the photo "My chi is very weak" lol. I'm pretty sure it was just a joke referencing when Sun said the same thing about Will's chi in the season premiere.

I thought Doona's post was rather ominous and it's like the only picture she's posted without a caption. I wouldn't read into it, but she did like one of those #RenewSense8 photos right after posting the picture. Alfonso also retweeted Brian's tweet but oddly enough a couple hours later deleted it

Sense8's twitter account hasn't twitted anything new for 2 days now.. I don't know if this means anything.

Netflix CEO Thinks They Should Be Canceling More TV Shows

As concerning as this is, you could argue the same things for Sense8 as the article does for 13 Reasons Why...

"So, we've canceled very few shows... I'm always pushing the content team: We have to take more risk; you have to try more crazy things."
I'm like 99% sure Sense8 is the only television show ever in the history of anything to show multiple LIVE births on screen in montage-like fashion. Travelling to film in 11 countries is pretty crazy too if you ask me...

By taking big swings, "you get some winners that are just unbelievable winners, like 13 Reasons Why. It surprised us. It's a great show, but we didn't realize just how it would catch on."
Sense8 probably isn't an "unbelievable winner" in the same sense as 13 Reasons Why (which I would argue is bullshit considering Selena Gomez is a high profile celebrity who produced the show and even helped with marketing by recording a song for the show) BUT from what Netflix has said, I'd still consider Sense8 "a winner" in different ways compared to other shows for a number of reasons.

Like, Sense8 is huge in Brazil (which I think Netflix themselves has said was a surprise); it is also the most watched show in Kenya which could say something positively about the show (since I can't think of any other Netflix show that has actual Kenyans in Kenya as part of the main plot); that at least 70% of the viewers that watched up to the third episode ended up watching the entire first season; and that viewers tend to repeat watching the show over and over again.

Honestly I have yet to see a show other than Sense8 that has had the same cultural impact as it has had (regarding the message, representation on and intentions of the show). Hell, after Brian retweeted that tweet #RenewSense8 trended worldwide for more than 8 hours and generated more than 95,000 tweets. That's definitely something I have never seen with concerns about a show getting renewed. But I guess only time will tell... Hopefully we get some news within the next week or so and more BTS stuff!

Yeah, what he's saying there sounds more like "we should be trying to do more wild things than we currently do" rather than "we should be canceling all our non-big safe hits".
