Code has expired.... BUT CART0214 works. You can generally just add one to the numberical part of this code after it's expired to get the next valid one.

I am currently trying to decide if I should buy the rest of the Echoes books. Thus far I only have Vol.3, which I liked. But every time I see the check out cart with a price tag of $60 (40 GBP) per book, I have to do a bit of a double take.

So yeah, I find myself in a quandry of curiosity/want vs. opportunity cost. If I buy the five I'm missing that's $300 (200 GBP) on five books! That a whole lotta cash. Then again, if I add up my record collection, or graphic novel collection, it's a far scarier figure!

I may just focus on completing my collection of the original black B5 Script books.

Ahhh, if only I were rich!

Whole dang computer system's got the Ned Stark virus.

Seen it take down entire networks. Many good men died at the (fire)wall.

    (Is it March 31st yet?)

I think it's just a default message from the javascript web-site that the code came from. There's a few there that say "Valentine's Day!" or "Christmas" etc.

So when the timer finishes it says "Winter is here!"....
    What does it mean?

Hmm, I think there may be something up with my browsers (they are kinda dated now as I'm on OSX 10.4.11). Annoying.

Seems like CafePress (the whole site) isn't behaving on my end. It loads up, then goes blank after a minute of browsing time. Will try again tomorrow

Anyone else having issues accessing the B5 Books site?

My browser starts to load the page, then goes blank displaying 'stopped' in the bottom left of the browser window. Same in both Firefox and Safari.

Good news, folkses. My contact at CP has shared a discount code that I can share *only with you* (read: not for sharing publicly)!

    CART0213

Should be good for 5-6 days.

Well, the term 'late to the party' comes to mind here! Kinda wish I'd started paying attention earlier, as opposed to 'panic buy!' catch up mode which will now ensue.

I think I'll aim to buy one Echoes book every month until May, so I can get the whole lot before they are retired.

But, congratulations Script Team, Mission Accomplished! I will be curious to see what the 'final word' project is... very curious!

Well - if this email had come alongside the 2.5 announcement - much unpleasantness here could've been avoided. This was all I ever wanted to hear... a clear future plan, regardless. Ironically, the Echoes books feel more valuable now - now that I know they are a "last hurrah" and not one of a feared 20 similar series about to come out in diminishing returns.

    BLABLABLA </negativity>

In all seriousness though, I'm sure I speak for many in appreciating the massive effort that went into putting out all these. Every so often I look over at my bookshelf and see it full of black, white, blue (and purple and green and red) spines, and my heart warms.

The announcement made me take a bunch of the books off that shelf and read through them for a while, enjoy them immensely, and then satisfyingly slip them back into place on the shelf as I'm sure I will do for many years to come.

(Plus, I wanted one posting here where I wasn't complaining about something or other. )

Good health and best wishes scripts team, kudos on a job well done (including those few books yet to come out)!

    ALERT: Babylon 5 Books Farewell

Yes, folks...it's true. With only a few exceptions (as detailed in the email alert), in the not-very-distant future, B5Books.com as you know it will be retired. When it comes back, it'll be something competely different. According to the Coundown Clock, there are less than 100 days left to finish buying any of the completed series that are currently for sale.

BUT! There's good news, too...though no details as yet. Check out:

(or read the email alert )

I don't know about anybody else but I've loved every minute of this project - from JMS' first announcement to now. But I've got lots of books, a nifty collection of magnets, the inimitable Declaration of Principals print, *two* Never Surrender Dreams prints...and lots of memories of meeting and working with Captain Jaclyn, Alyt Jason and other members of the Fan Board.
