I've just realised I've had Volume 1 of this series sitting on my shelf for months and I can't remember ever seeing an announcement about Volume 2. Was this ever released?

No real news but our own GLindros asked JMS via Twitter about the rest of the books:

@straczynski Will we see any more "What the hell happened?" Crusade books ?Originally posted by JMichael Straczynski@straczynski@Gary_TheGreat Yes, I swear, I just need to get over my own still simmering anger over what happened to finish the writing.Originally posted by GaryTheGreat@Gary_TheGreat@straczynski It's been 15 years, it must be one heck of a story to still have you worked up.Originally posted by JMichael Straczynski@straczynski
@Gary_TheGreat I'm Russian, we hold grudges for a really really long time.

This was during one of JMS' 15 minute press confrerences where he takes any questions. First time I've seen one as it happened.

As for me, I just wish there was a way for him to finish writing Crusade, as if it had never been shut down.Mac Breck (KoshN)

Warner Brothers is Lucy.
JMS and we fans are collectively Charlie Brown.

Have been meaning to ask, what did folks make of the Vol.1 of ‘What the Hell Happened’? Just wondering what the reception was? Was there a discussion / review thread when it came out? (If so, feel free to point me to it!)
I ask because, I’m thinking of picking it up. My fav bits of the script books have been Joe’s lengthy introductions, which tell the human story and the challenges faced in getting B5 made. Is 'What the hell?' similar to those introductions?Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.

I think the WTHH and OV books are awesome... The other voices actually have tons more extra material. Since Crusade is a "cancelled" project there is tons of extra stuff, like 5 unmade scripts etc, and unlike B5 the scripts by other people (non jms) are mostly excellent.
That said - the Making of Crusade book is good, but its like Echoes, largely reprints or expanded versions of interviews, older articles etc...
WTHH and OV are critical vast treasure troves of stuff, but Making Of is more of a companion piece. I'm glad I have it, but if it didn't exist, I'd survive.

Everything is cyclical, its true - with umpteen frickin Star Wars movies coming out - there's no way there won't be hard SF shows soon... hoping that another JMS-type (or even JMS himself) is in the right place at the right time so we get something good.
I was actually just speculating that B5 itself could be "reimagined" in a Galactica kind of way. And now it would likely not have the wonky early bits.
To quote another hard SF space show (albeit an animated one) that was resurrected to great success : A man can dream... a man can dream...
