Pat's Book - Pleasure Thresholds

It might be nice to see a pdf of a couple of sample pages to see how well the photos do come out.

Another idea that would be nice is if buyers of the book could get a pdf of the book with photos in color. To make sure people don't spread it the copies could have the subscriber's name encoded in it in the background. That way if someone illegally distributes it you know who's copy it is. [Big Finish does this with Doctor Who scripts.] Or perhaps subscribers could be given access to the photos in color online in some kind of flash viewer that couldn't be copied.

It just seems a shame to have all these color photos out there and buyers of the book just get black and white copies except for the covers.

By the way, I just noticed that there is a countdown clock on the webpage now - counting to August 17 release date.

Per a new blog entry, the results of a meeting between Pat, the book's designer and Editor Jason Davis are that the final book will be pushed back until mid-September so as to add things fans have asked for (see the 'what do you want' thread) and to add quite a few more pages.

Though it was mentioned as being probably upthread, it's worth pointing out that 'Pleasure Thresholds' new release date is Sept. 14.

All I know is that they're working to make the wide release really special. But I'm not involved so any hints or teases will have to come from Senior Editor Jason.
