Sorry, can't talk about it. My copy isn't here yet, and neither is Karen's ... I had her copy intercepted so it'd show up here too!

Maybe we can talk about it in Atlanta on Friday?

Mine is on its way today. Waiting for UPS to throw the package over my 6 ft fence, which they seem to enjoy doing

I don't know about UPS, we've had computers and other stuff delivered to our house and when we weren't home, they just left the box on our front doorstep. There must be a better way than that!

You could have the Holy Grail delivered to your house and UPS would leave it on the porch, ring the doorbell and retreat sans signature (if you were lucky).

Methinks I must contact my Anxious followers and send them out for some serious discussions with the person who would threaten my peace of mind regarding delivery of a B5 book.

Not mine! I've got a wonderful UPS guy but the one thing he *won't* do is leave anything at my door. But he's also been known to see me elsewhere in the complex and give me my package then and there, too.

One can't get to my front door without a key for the outer gate. That's where the fence comes into play. To be fair, they usually try to drop it where it has the shortest fall; there's a platform behind it only about 2 ft from the top, but I sometimes find boxes sitting in the Lilac bushes. Fortunately for me, they placed the Crusade book gently in the mailbox today, and I just opened the package!

Well, SPILL!!!!!!!!!!!! How's it laid out? What scripts are in Vol.1?

                        Jan,

What scripts are going to be in Volumes 2, 3 & 4? Are the non-JMS scripts going to be included in this four volume set, or are they going to be in an Other Voices volume or two?

There is "A Call to Arms" and "Racing the Night". But there are also a couple of short promo scripts as well. It was fun to read Zathras in character talk about demographics: "see I have chart!". Funny stuff. Also we get two complete versions of "Racing the Night": before network notes and the production version. I've only skimmed it a little at this point but looks quite interesting. "A Call to Arms" also has revisions pointed out in a great script to screen feature that points out what scenes were changed with dialogue comparisons side-by-side. Also there is something I wish had been done with the B5 books just because I'm crazy about trying to keep timelines straight and I think it's nifty: script dates for writer's draft, production draft, and the filming dates There are a lot of production sketches throughout the book and storyboards as well. Very cool stuff on the Excalibur. There's also some early treatments with Zathras and Marcus and a new Minbari character. Enjoyed Joe's commentary and laughed especially at his attempts to deal with the nonsense thrown in his way: "do a sequel, but we can't reference the previous show"; "you can use this same actor from the previous show if you want, but he has to be paid as if it was his first season." There weren't as many hints on the plan as I was hoping for but I'm sure that will be in future volumes. I did see that Joe said noted in the treatment that the plague could be cured at any time during the series to focus on new challenges. Joe did intrigue me a little by saying that he knew he would need a telepath in the second season, which is how Matheson got added to the story even though he is not there in the early treatments (and he's only called "First Officer" in the initial Racing the Night script). All in all an interesting read so far.

I'm not certain that the breakdown has been fixed yet, Mac. Jason, do you have anything you can share on that? I do know that the non-JMS scripts would go into an Other Voices series, though.

Well, all of JMS's Crusade scripts, including "To the Ends of the Earth" and "End of the Line" are going to be in this four volume set, right?
