Now that the first of the two Crusade books is ready for print, I thought IÆd jump in with a quick update on them.

Regarding the delay of the two Crusade booksàitÆs the B5 tradition.
You can tell someone about B5 and Crusade folks, but until they see what follows, itÆs like trying to tell someone about Hurricane Katrina coming inàyou donÆt really understand what that means until it comes to your front door. The Script books team has been hustling like crazy to produce other books, until I could get around to telling the story about Crusade.

For me, on a personal basis, itÆs been an amazing process to go back in time, through the memos, scripts and photos, and re-live it. And then, when itÆs done, the final tale will at last be told in its entiretyàthe show, the good, the bad, and the show *behind* the show.

IÆve been very pleased that so many folks who have received the Babylon 5 volumes have said great things about the them. Though, bear in mind that there is a ceiling on how long these final Crusade script books will be available at www.babylon5scripts.com so get in while the Cafe Press price breaks will give you maximum benefit.

After the Asked and Answered series is released in April and finished in August, The first Crusade book should release around Labor Day. The volume 2 should be out somewhere around Thanksgiving, which has all the cool stuff through ôEach Night I Dream of Homeö, with all the info about how Fred Dryer almost ended up as the captain of the Excalibur, the ôshow orderö controversy, and several characters such as Jane the ISN imbeded correspondent, who were going to be in the show as regulars but werenÆt.

Since I know a lot of folks were curious about potential material, IÆve also found a couple dozen one-paragraph to multi-page premises for episodes (and other cool stuff) that never made it to full script.

Crusade will also be the first set of script books to be offered electronically. After resisting electronic publishing, I thought, ôWhat the hell, letÆs try it.ö It will be available through iTunes and AmazonÆs kindle (A cute little device that I have been enjoying.)

I have to be honestàIÆm enjoying the hell out of this joke.

The Crusade books will be out anon.

** This was a joke, and only a joke, jms is too busy writing. Had this been the actual Crusade announcement, Jan, Jacyln, or Jason from the scripts book team would have been announcing it. **

    Happy April Fools Day!

Glindros, you are one sick puppy ... and you clearly have too much time on your hands.

Ha, good joke Jan. I know the letter 'J' is a requirement to work on the scripts team.

He meant Jane, I'm sure. Jane is the ISN Anchor on B5. The entire storyline of the series revolves around her.

You guys really need better internal communication.

If they don't have at least a middle name with a 'J', is the "90 day change it or else" rule still in effect?

                        Dear Mr. Glindros:

I am in receipt of your recent communication expressing interest in our Company policies. We thank you for your interest.

It is our policy not to discuss internal policy outside of the Company but you can be assured that we strictly abide by all Federal, State and Local statutes pertaining to Equal Employment. Therefore, any employees of ours who are 'name challenged' would certainly never be forced to change it if for some reason they're attached to those strange appellations. The rumors that all employees have the full initials JMS are completely baseless.

Again, thank you for your interest but please direct any future inquiries to the Great Maker.

                        Very sincerely yours,

                        Jan M. Schroeder

                          Dear Ms. Shroeder

I would like to thank you for your commitment to equal opportunity to all people regardless of 'J' nomenclature. The old attitudes of exclusion certainly have no place in the modern workplace of the 21st century. Knowing that Amy, and Brandon suffer no fear of reprisal or loss of job status for the choice of their ancestors is a comforting thought.

Your policy of hiring non 'J' people should stand as a beacon of enlightenment to other companies. Only through the forward looking achievements of companies like yours can all people be treated reasonably, fairly, and with honor.

                          Yours Truly,

                          Mr. Glindros
