Now that all of B5 proper has been published, what's next? Crusade? Jeremiah? Ghostbusters? Nothing?
What you all think?
Crusadeshould be next, but evidently there are some B5 mystery books (mysteries, because we, the ones not on the B5 Scripts Team, have no idea what the @#%! they are, not because they are "mystery novels" or anything.).

Warner Brothers is Lucy.
JMS and we fans are collectively Charlie Brown.
Babylon 5 is the football.
Mac, I'm sorry you're angry but you have been assured that the Crusade books are planned and JMS has said that he plans to talk about what he'd planned for the show. I'm sorry it's so frustrating for you but I doubt you'd like it if we made promises we didn't keep.
AFAIK it's only one book in March, Glindros, but one per month is the plan.

Jan
Yes Jan, that's what I understood, I guess I just typed it in a confusing manner. One in March, more after that, but how many more is unknown.
What a wonderful world you live in. -
Yeah, well, the rent is cheap, the pay is decent and I get to make my own hours.

It's just that the stuff that's jumping in line (into the queue, for you UK types. ) ahead of the Crusade Scriptbooks seems to have no end, like the Crusade scriptbooks are the carrot on the end of the stick, and we're not getting any closer to them. I wouldn't be surprised if after these new books come out (however many of them that there are.), that there would be something else, and then something else, and then something else, etc. etc. That's the frustrating part. Hell, I have my doubts that the Crusade Scriptbooks will come out this decade.
So, the order of the day is wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, and then wait some more. Frustration? That ain't the word This is more like torture worthy of the Devil himself.
C'mon, I only used "comics swearing," straight out of Beetle Bailey.
Just making sure. I was thinking more like the Coyote in Roadrunner going out to Acme and bombing the Scripts Team.

What I've been told is that all B5-related material has to come out first. The whys and wherefors of that I don't know. But JMS said just that quite a long time ago so it's not something that just came up, honest.

Believe me, it's not intentional. Hey, I want 'em myself!
...and there seems to be no end to that material, and therefore no known date for when the Crusade Scriptbooks will be coming out.
I just wish we had some idea of what that material was. I know Jan and Jac and Jas and the rest of the Js can't talk about it, but saying stuff like it's something we never knew we wanted, when this whole thing is about scripts, and then saying it's going to be a monthly thing, is not going over well. They may have done more harm than good, I'm afraid.
Whatever it is, it better be reasonably priced. Forty dollars per month for something I "never knew I wanted" isn't something I can justify in this economy.

I can't think of something that "never knew I wanted." I know something that I did want is the full outline that was in JMS' notebook with details of what would happen over the arc. Unfortunately, he lost the season 5 cards (as detailed in a script book and elsewhere). Or what was in his "computer file":
A lot is in a triple-encrypted computer file, which I consult as needed; the rest I
carry in my head.
Over at the Farpoint Forums I wrote about an idea that might be what is in mind and is something people probably didn't think of, even though we are here at the jmsnews.com site. What about a compilation of the relevant JMS' posts about B5? They could start from the early days and continue grouped around each show. It would be quite a project, but most of the material is available right here.
