So do all of us. Personally, I'd wait for an email from Jaclyn. It's her job to nag him.

Does someone want to ask jms on the moderated newsgroup or shall we just wait for the new e-mails from Jaclyn? I want a Christmas present for myself

I was actually talking to Wayne Barlowe over this past weekend for an interview about other things, but I mentioned the subject of his Thirdspace work and who owns the copyright. He said, æI suspect itÆs Warner Bros. I think I probably signed something at that time, but I still have that artwork in a file, so if somebody wants to clear that, IÆm happy to forward it on.Æ So there you have it, direct from the source.

Plus, it depends on who owns the copyright in the concept art. JMS was able to reproduce Peter Ledger's original artwork for B5 because he commissioned it as part of his attempts to sell the show to a studio.

If the artwork for Thirdspace was done as part of the production process, I imagine ownership will rest with WB, and therefore is unlikely to appear.

They were black and white pen and ink drawings, unlike, say, the half-toned drawings he recently did for Hellboy 2.

It may depend on whether or not JMS has any of that art in his archives. Remember, everything in the books generally depends on what's in his collection. Were those concept drawings? Because I believe they used storyboards pretty extensively, too.

I interviewed Barlowe some years back for a couple of pieces in Starlog (#259) and TV Zone (#123) and I remember how excited I was when some of his drawings from Thirdspace came through the fax machine. I donÆt have the issue in front of me, but IÆm fairly sure that some of those drawings appeared in that issue of TV Zone, although I donÆt think it was all of them (I believe there were eight pages of designs for the artifact and the Old One). Anyway, since that was nearly a decade ago, I agree that it would be nice if a larger number of people got to see them this time.

Does the exclusion of A Call to Arms imply that there will be a Crusade script book that includes A Call to Arms?

I'm looking at the Lurker's Guide page about Third Space and various questions are popping into my mind from reading there. One thing that I just put in a question that I was wondering if could be suggested to the script team - any chance of getting some drawings from Wayne Barlowe of the artifact?

I don't know if that's been decided as yet.
