What's up with the change they've got going in the shipping selection? Is the estimated arrival thing they've got really what it'll be? I had rather gotten used to using the whole two-day shipping, but the equivalently priced shipping option ("Premium Usually arrives in 3-4 business days") says the estimated arrival is next Wednesday, which is a bit far off compared to the two-day shipping option they used to have. But heck, even the "1 Day" option says the estimated arrival is next Tuesday. Are their estimations just over-estimations for the sake of being safe in their estimation or will it really take that much longer? I guess I'm asking is there no expedited order fulfillment like they used to have now?
I'm wondering if it's worth it to pay for the Premium shipping anymore considering that the arrival estimate for the half-as-expensive Standard is only one to two days later than the Premium.
I thought those shipping options seemed strange. Last time I did 2-day shipping I got my book in 1 day, so I'm hoping that they're just being safe in their estimates. I chose the 2nd least expensive option this time so we'll see how it goes.
I know that at one point they'd set back the shipping dates to reflect a 5 day window instead of the 2 days they'd previously promised. Seems the sheer volume of orders took them by surprise. That said, I don't know what all they've changed since they took away the 'five for five' deal that they had. I liked that a lot.
I emailed the scripts team to see if they can provide me with any information on it all before I finally place my order. I'll post whatever information they reply to me with in this thread so everyone else can know too.
I've ordered
not that I've actually unsealed volumes 10, 11 or 12 yet but still...

"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "
Ok, for those who want to know, "...absolutely nothing whatsoever happened today in sector..." -- oops, sorry 'bout that. Anyway, I emailed the scripts team, and Jaclyn forwarded my question on to CafePress, who've emailed me back their answer. As I said before, I'll share it with you.
The shipping options currently available are in fact the same as they were before. The difference is that we have added in the processing time for your order and estimated arrival date so that you know when to expect delivery of your package. "To calculate the estimated arrival dates, we add the time it takes to process your order before it ships plus the time it takes to arrive at your shipping address after it leaves our warehouse." Before this change, in the shipping menu we only displayed the delivery time and the processing time was shown in the cart and product page where you add to cart; essentially we are doing the math for you now.
That said, the premium shipping option is shipped via UPS 2day air. The processing time for an order placed using this method is normally 1 to 2 business days, which is why you saw the estimated arrival time that you did (total time 3 to 4 business days). The 1 day option is shipped using UPS overnight service and normally takes one business day to process. "Most items ordered by noon EST on a business day will arrive next business day. Orders placed after noon EST will arrive in 2 business days."
I'm still not sure the boost in shipping is worth it, personally. It seemed like it did when I've ordered before and others who comment on here who used the regular shipping seemed to get there orders well after I did mine, but CafePress's whole "estimated arrival" dates for Premium and Standard shipping for me seem barely different enough to warrant twice the cost in shipping. I think I might go with the Standard shipping this time and see how it goes.
well mine has shipped, (got am email saying it's on the way)
not that I'm really waiting for it, still got vol 10, 11 and 12 to read, tyeh're neatly lined up on a bookcase I swore together about 3 weeks ago.

So, the Standard shipping seems to be doing ok for me. I got the shipping notification email too; I checked the shipping tracking information and it's scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. That's several days earlier than CafePress's "estimated arrival" given when I placed my order.
I have a question about these script books, sorry if I ask something that has already been answered somewhere else.
I understand that Vol. 15 will only be available to those who bought Volumes 1-14 and that V15 will only be available for a short time.
So, after that time has passed, will Vol 1-14 be still available? I don't have the money to buy them right now to be eligible for Vol 15, but I'd like to buy the volumes in the future (I am aware that I won't get 15, but I'd like to have the other 14 scripts ).
Does anyone know if that will be possible?
Thanks,
*Starstuff*

It's been my understanding that the whole series will be going away but it would be best if you wrote to [email protected] to ask that for sure, Starstuff. Let us know back here, okay?
