I just requested more info on the "Vacation Amnesty" offer since I will be on a family vacation for about half of August. It sure is nice of them to offer something like that.
Sorry, I got so excited I forgot to say how you go about it. Simply send an email to [email protected] with "Vacation Amnesty" in the Re: Line before July 31 to let them know.
You are now on the official Vacation Amnesty list.
If volume 12 releases while you are out of town, just email us when
you get back. (To know if v12 has been released just visit the
homepage
at www.babylon5scripts.com.)
Within 24 hours of getting your email, we will reply with a special
code that will add volume 12 to your cart at the debut discount price
of $10 off.
The most important part is emailing us BEFORE you order. Unfortunately
we don't have a way to deduct $10 once the order is placed.
If there is anything else we can do for you, just let us know.
Best regards,
Jaclyn

They sure like to cut it close! I'll be posting coupons for Cafe Press close to the 31st, but they all seem to be $5 off of $50 lately. For those of you who are buying more than the scriptbooks, it will come in handy. Not so much for the rest of us....
I just got the following note from Jaclyn, Captain of the Scripts Team:
We've gotten a handful of e-mails from folks who are going to be out
of town in the first part of September and who just read about the
release date of August 31 for volume 12.
Because we had promised a release date in August, it didn't dawn on
people to request amnesty for a vacation in September. It wouldn't
have dawned on us either.
We want to let those folks know that all they have to do is send us an
e-mail with "vacation amnesty" in the subject line and we will put
them on a list so that they can get the debut discount when they
return in September.
We want everyone to know that we appreciate your loyalty to the script
series. If there is anything else we haven't thought of that we can
do for you, please let us know.
Best regards,
Jaclyn

Yay, Jon! Now then...have you actually *read* them?
I was amazed last year at Heroes Con how many people had bought the books but hadn't read them yet. We spent time in the autograph line getting them all unpacked for JMS to sign.

I haven't read them all cover to cover, yet, but as soon as it comes through the door I read all the intros, memos, etc. Then I'll pick and choose on the scripts. Can't imagine not cracking it open at all, though!
