Volume #1 on Amazon

Volume #1 is now listed on Amazon.com in case you know of anybody who hasn't heard of the books and/or might be uneasy about doing business with Cafe' Press for some reason.

I've been in touch with Jaclyn, head of the Scripts Team and she assured me that the book listed on Amazon is *exactly* the same as the one purchased from CP except for a bar code on the back cover.

At this time, there aren't plans to list any of the other volumes with Amazon but it's a good way to help spread the word.

Mainly to help spread the word about the script books. There are probably many folks who have notifications for 'Straczynski' or who might do a search for the name who might not hear about them otherwise or read the online discussions about them. Plus, as I noted, some people have been leery of CP.

I've enterred a review for the book but it hasn't shown up yet.

If your last name is Holzman, then your review is up there. I notice this is a better deal than Cafe Press unless you use a coupon, because they don't charge shipping if the order is over $25.00. Of course, I buy them on the day of release. I'm a little obsessive about it.

According to their site it can take up to a week to show up.

But you can't get Vol. 15, unless there's some kind of deal they've worked out.

Since at this point, there's no plan to list the other books, I would imagine that it would be okay to use some kind of proof of purchase with Amazon for Volume 1. After all, they've made it so that different people can buy the set and still get #15 (per the FAQ). That would be a question for Jaclyn and the scripts team to be sure, though.

Vol 1 on Amazon.com & Vol 15 Proof of Purchase

Hi Everyone,

Jan has done a great job explaining the idea behind Volume 1 on Amazon.com. I also thought I'd address the Volume 15 issue.

As Jan noted earlier, the only reason Volume 1 is on Amazon.com is to get the word out. The book is IDENTICAL except for a bar code on the back which is required by Amazon.com

If folks start out with Volume 1 via Amazon they will include the Amazon.com order number on their proof-of-purchase.

Since Volume 1 is the ONLY volume offered outside CafePress, it keeps it pretty simple.

Lastly, we've requested that they not discount it, so it's there now for the $39.99 price, as it should be.
