Honestly I am not surprised that BAMN is not there JMS said the only scipts that would be in there are ones written by him .Just because she is his wife does not give him the right to publish it.Yeah I would like to have seen as much as anyone but I can understand JMS's stand in this issue.

Getting the miscellaneous Babylon 5 writers together is really a job for CafePress. When they have recovered from producing JMS's bestseller they may be willing to continue the sequence. Write to them when they have printed volume 5 and again after volume 10.

For those who have the B5 DVDs, she's shown in the ''Beyond Babylon 5" featurette in the Season 5 set.

BTW, I always wondered what Kathryn Drennan looked like, but came up empty with web searches. I was searching for B5 pictures just the other day, and found a picture with jms and her together. She's a very lovely woman, with long dark hair. I could try to find it again if anybody is interested.

In reading the memos in the books .. she seems to me to match pretty good what he was looking for for the character Carolyn Sykes.

    [edit -- found the picture]

    Jan,

"Aw, c'mon, JMS, you got Kathryn to do, it can't you send an email to Peter and David and Larry and...and...and ask them to let you use their scripts?"
I wondered the same thing as Night Marshall (being a very-very-big fan of BAMN as am I), but .. you have a very good point there.

I think it was better to follow an 'all or nothing' approach. I know the completists out there would like the extra script or two, but in terms of book production, it seems more than it's worth. Aside from that, there probably isn't enough space on the cover for Babylon 5: The Scripts of J. Michael Straczynski (With the Exception of One of Them Written by his Wife, Kathryn Drennan).

I'd very much have liked to see BAMN in the script books with an introduction by the writer. It was a great episode and fleshed out the characters of Sinclair, G'Kar and Londo nicely.

I didn't think it was odd that it's not included, though. JMS has said before that the two of them keep their writing careers separate for the most part. It might have struck him/them that it would lead to a foot-in-the-door scenario with fans clammoring, "Aw, c'mon, JMS, you got Kathryn to do, it can't you send an email to Peter and David and Larry and...and...and ask them to let you use their scripts?"

Doing that would pretty much require the that lawyers and agents be involved and agreements and payment arrangements etc. be worked out individually with each writer and all that other complex stuff that goes on these days. Instead of there being a JMS Scripts Team, there'd end up being a Scripts Publishing Company which it think is just more bother than he wants to have to deal with.

Now, if they all decided to get together and put something together using the model that's been established, I'd be all in favor.

started a topic Any Means Necessary in the script Set.

Any Means Necessary in the script Set.

One Question I have been wondering about for a few days and been holding off on the posting a question to see if doing so was tactful after a few days I have decided to try my luck as see if my arms get lobbed off.

I have been wondering why "Any Means Necessary" is not in the Script volumes. I know it wasn't written my JMS but it was written by his wife Kathryn M. Drenna. So getting permission to add "Any Means Necessary" wouldnÆt be a huge deal. That said I can think of about dozen good reasons why it isn't going to be in the set. Ranging from Nepotism to the script set only being about JMS.

So, I was basically wondering if it had crossed anyone else mind as a little odd. Honestly my main thought being that it makes the set more complete and help add to the first season which there is only a hand full of JMS scripts.

    Anyways hoping to hear thoughts.
