I would have thought the Sarratoga (their flagship) would be there or one of the hammerhead fighters . . . I'm going to check the other discs and see what the menus look like.

Dunno, but Joe DeM posted a question (with a link to a screenshot) to the Moderated newsgroup asking JMS what he thinks about it and JMS hasn't answered yet. I'm reminded of what he told us at the Hawthorne Con, though: "Imitation is the sincerest form of Television". He was quoting somebody, I can't remember who right now.

Chances are a lazy menu contractor is going to get handed his butt if WB takes offense.

Well . . . I checked them all (they are Double sided DVDs and there are 5 of them) and aside from slight picture changes . . . the station is on every menu LOL! here are the other colors from the other 4 discs . . .

each side of the DVD had the same color menu but different character pictures . . . so I just took a picture of each disc. Who knows how or why this was done, but I find it hilarious!

Maybe some dunce thought that shortening the Station and elongating the cargo stabilizers would 'disguise' it? What about the little flyers, do they belong to SAaB?

Yeah, the other images belong to the show. The flyers are the enemy or "chig" fighters. I would think they would have a Hammerhead or three chasing after them instead of having a station or something in there.

Doesn't the length look right? I think it's just the angle we're looking at it from.

And if WB doesn't take offense, that would be surprising. Remember, you have to protect your own trademarks, lest you can lose them.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Of source it could be that they have attained the rights for a new jms-series based on B5/Crusade. And jsm doesn't want to say anything about it yet so...

I am obviously paranoid, but wouldn't it be great if I were sane?

Perhaps that explain why the studio is not producing these DVDs anymore and most of the vendors like Amazon, doesnt have them in stock.

Strange that JMS havent said anything about it yet.

If ever available, is this series sans-image-ripoff worth watching?

I was never aware of it except as a "not available where I am" show.

I'm not to sure what you meant by "sans-image-ripoff" but I'll give you a bit of history on the series.

it was made in 1995 and was from the producers of the X-Files. Space above and beyond ran for one season which included a 2 hour pilot, and 22 episodes total that aired Sundays on Fox. Obviously like most series on FOX it was canceled after its first season run. There are many divided opinions on the series, but I found it inventful and worth buying on DVD. I remember my dad and I watched it together and we both like it! here is a summary of the dvd taken from bestbuy.com

It's the year 2063. After 150 years of deep space exploration, people on Earth feel certain they are alone in the universe. Everything changes when news comes that two outposts light-years away from Earth have been attacked by an alien civilization. Now the new young recruits of the United States Marine Corps Space Aviator Calvary are headed for the front lines in the toughest battle the world has ever had to face. Thrust into an intergalactic war, these untested fighter pilots suddenly find themselves waging a life-and-death struggle to protect Earth and to save mankind from total annihilation.

                            hope that helps!

I watched a few episodes of this on sky and the look and feel reminded me a lot of Origin's PC game series Wing Commander. I even nicknamed it "Wing Commander - the TV series" and several of my friends agreed.
                              Thoughts anyone?

"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "
