  • 80's Sci-fi show - please HELP!

I'm trying to get a title for an 80's (or possibly 90's) sci-fi TV show. My information is very sketchy but consists of this
mid 20's (or early 30's) white guy accompanied by older black guy (bodyguard/mentor/servant of the family) alien has fled his own planet to earth. has unusual powers including telepethy with the black guy and an ability to project himself outside his body in a non-spirit form which can manipulate objects and be seen as real.
In one episode one of them is in jail and they come up with the glass screen/two telephones thing. Comedy is got from the fact that thye just think at each other and don't use the phones.
The body projection episode has the young guy losing his body but finding it in a building about to be demolished.
I'm sorry I've no more info but has anyone heard of this show.
    All help much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Phaze

It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

Sounds to me like "The Powers of Matthew Starr". I don't remember much about it but the young guy was some sort of prince, I think, and the older one was teacher/mentor/protector.

    Sound right?

BTW I was just checking IMDB for this show and they say that Tom Cruise actualy autioned for the part but was not selected.

This show would be known worldwide, ....

.... or pehraps we would have someone else playing the main role from Top Gun to Collateral.
        For the Glory of Gamilon!!!!
