I'm sorry to hear about his passing; I knew he wasn't well.

The original Star Trek actors are so much a part of our culture, even if you are not a ST fan, when they are no longer here it's hard to believe.

    Scotty was my favourite.

I'm so sorry to hear that! It's nice to know that he got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame before his passing. I hope that his illness allowed him to be aware of it when it happened.

Star Trek is a Cultural Icon. It was one of the main influences in Science Fiction television and the actors of that series, as well as that unique vision should be acknowledged.

James Doohan was great person at heart and will be remembered and revered by millions of people for generations to come.

If we are wise, what is born of that pain matures into the promise of a better world, because we learn that we can no longer afford the mistakes of the past." -- G'Kar in Babylon 5:"In the Beginning"

Mark Lennard, Deforest Kelly, now Jimmy Doohan.

The STAR TREK universe is a little darker tonight but...

            RIP Mr. Scott.

We got drunk on scotch while toasting him last weekend. A fitting tribute I think...
