  • Serenity flies again

    "It's worse than you know."

    Mal - "It usually is."

Trailer is up at Apple. Probably will be running with Hitchiker's this Friday. Go see!

They kinda got the whole rock/sci-fi/usual trailer marketing style going on there, which sucks, but the lines have all that good ol' Firefly charm.

Jayne - "Let's be bad guys."

      Mal: Define interesting.
Wash: Oh, God. Oh, God. We're all going to die!

I'd say they're still the characters we know and love

Didn't see Book at all, though.

He was off to the side in one half-second shot, I think. He'll be there. How much, I dunno, but he'll be there.

I missed him in that shot! My eyesight isn't what it used to be. I knew he was in the movie since they signed the entire original cast, but was just hoping for a sound byte from him in the trailer. Can't wait for the movie!

EDIT: I just went to my source for Serenity information and saw a new posting by Joss. Coincidentally he talks about the trailer and mentions the lack of Book and Kaylee. Here's the link if anyone is interested...

          http://fireflymovie.com/news.html

It talks about a May 5th preview in 10 cities.

Hrm. Wonder what my chances are of getting into the Boston show. I should play lotto while I'm at it.

Is it me or is Joss much much more spastic when he goes online?

Yeay, I considered driving 4 hrs to Boston on the off chance that it might not be sold out by the time I got there... for about 1 second I considered it.

I'm not sure if Joss is more spastic. Did you listen to the commentary on the DVDs for "Objects in Space"? Actually, it's one of my favortie commentaries of all times because it really gets into his mind during production, but it certainly includes some flights of fancy in there, too.

Nice, as I grew up in a suburb of Sacramento.

The closest drive for me is Austin...I'd say four to five hours. I'd rather wait and it'll be that much more sweet.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Actually (reading the Joss thing instead of skimming it), the tickets were sold online.

For all of... *ahem* ten minutes.... seems they're sold out. Already.

He can? It looked to me like they were all sold out. (Bummer. I'm right in Austin.)
