  • SILENCE OF MIND Trailer and Screening!

At the risk of seeming self-aggrandizing, I wanted to share with all of you my web-trailer for my new feature, SILENCE OF MIND. Just go to www.SPPictures.com and scroll down to see the link. (It's also on the SILENCE OF MIND page.) It's in Quicktime.

Though I know none of you will be able to make it, SILENCE will have its first ever Advanced Screening for the public on April 27, 2005, at the Malco Studio on the Square in Memphis, TN! Showtimes: 8:45pm and 10:20pm, Tickets: $6. The film is screening in a wonderful theatre with a brand new digital projector that I get to break in!

I'm very excited and nervous (as filmmakers are on opening screenings), and cannot wait to get this film into the festivals. I'm very proud of it.

I hope to have the SILENCE OF MIND Special Edition 2-disk set DVD available within the year which will contain:

-SILENCE OF MIND (with commentary by Editor/Producer/Director, Anthony Flessas and Co-producer/Writer/Actor, Tyler Farrell)

-JUMPER (the sequel short, new festival version)

-JUMPER: The Extended Edition (with the 5 special ending scenes that conclude Tommy's story -- only available on DVD)

-Behind Tommy's Story (the behind-the-scenes featurette on the making of JUMPER and SILENCE OF MIND)

    -Outtakes

    -Trailers

-THE RUNAWAY (a special Director's Cut of Anthony Flessas' first acclaimed short film)

I still have loads to do to get the DVD ready and mass-produced, but I believe it's all worth it!

Anyway, everyone check out the SILENCE trailer and let me know what you think! I should also mention that this is a highspeed connection trailer. I will have a slower version up sometime soon.

Just watched the trailer. Very intense and hooked my interest. April 29th? Malco @ Overton Sqaure? I'll be there. Hopefully I'll have a job by then. If not, I'll still come out and see it.

WilleStealandHow! April 27th, that's a Wednesday. Check the website for exact times. I'm also expecting a write-up by Beifuss in the Commercial Appeal (for those non-Memphians, that's our main city paper and critic).

Willie, be sure you come up and introduce yourself, man! It'll be great to meet one of my fellow forum buds!

And Omahastar....yes, but it's darkly lit.

Shameless self-promotion is perfectly acceptable when you've actually done something.

                Looks like you have.

Can't watch the trailer yet (at work, no speakers) but when I do I'll update. Don't think I'd be able to make it to Memphis either. I'm about to be in the same non-job-ness that Willie has (a story for later), not to mention several states away... Let me know when you put it on disc though and I'll immediately send some cash your way.

EDIT - Good trailer. I'll look forward to it.

27th? Durrr! Anyway, I'll still make it. I can't wait to see what happens when you find out my real name isn't Willie

Ah, an auspicious date indeed! Your movie will make it's debut 50 years after I did!

Very dark and haunting. It caught my interest, and I wonder what the dialogue in the movie is like. Best of luck with it Anthony, I hope you get all the success you obviously deserve.

                            CE,

Trailer looks great, congrats - couldn't hear it because I don't have speakers here in the office, but if it sounds as good as it looks it should be great.

One thing - I have Firefox set up to auto-download quicktime files, rather than use the plug-in (it's just less flaky that way), so I have it sat here on my HD. do you have a problem with that?

More importantly, if you are OK with that, are you also OK with my putting it on my memory stick and taking it home where I do have speakers, but only dial-up internet access?

I realise I could just have sat here and said nothing and you would be none the wiser, but I have sat quite squarely in the "downloading of copyrighted stuff without permission is wrong" camp when these arguments come up, and I have no desire to be hypocritical.

                            Cheers,

Thank you one and all for the wonderfully kind words and support. You are all very dear to me, I hope you know that.

Jan, I will think of you as the film screens and definately drink a toast to you afterward as we celebrate. And I agree with thebaron, not a day over 21!

Radhil, you are always so dear and kind, and I'm sorry to hear about the job situation. I would like to hear more about it if you want to PM me. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

Willie, can't wait to see ya there!!!!

And lastly, Garibaldi's Hair, feel free to take the trailer home. When you're an indie filmmaker like me, you don't mind when trailers and the like are moved and shuffled, it only helps in getting the word out.

So by all means, take it home, share it with friends, post it to your own site for all I care! Share the news!

I don't mind that most of you can't be there in person, because I know you will all be there in spirit!

                              OX!!!! all around!
