I made this wallpaper, and while I can do some really neat tricks with Adobe, the problem is that I have no time. If anyone has fun tinkering with stuff in their free time, can you make this look cooler, with like shaded borders around the different pics and such?

Oh, the wallpaper? It's based around the sexiest terrorist in the world...The Baroness.

Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Did it air in Israel as "GI Joe: A Real American Hero" or as "Action Force: International Heroes?"

Only the second half of the second season of the Sunbow-produced eps need to come out and I will be a happy man. I can do without the DIC eps. If you never saw those, they were dumbed down, silly and just subpar. You won't see anything like "There Is No Place Like Springfield" or "Nightmare Assault" on the DIC eps.

Neither,it was translated to something like "Delta force" in Hebrew,i don't recall the English title if there was one.

Delta Force? There's one I've never heard. I do remember fake GI Joe toys with terrible paint jobs in the 80's and I believe they may have gone by the name "Delta Force."

What I always thought was cool was how they'd make no bones about the lasers. M-16's and the like would shoot lasers and fans would speculate that they were bullets moving really fast, but in one episode, Lady Jaye actually referred to them as lasers.

Well its not Delta Force per say,im trying to translate...if you want the Hebrew line it was "koah hamahatz"
            koah=force
hamahatz=the- severe blow, wound, punch, brunt (take a pick)

So like The Punch Force? LOL...doesnt translate good with any of the combination.

It was dubbed in Hebrew,so pardon me if i dont recall the names of the bunch.

Oh yeah, translating cool names like Snake-Eyes, Shipwreck or Barbeque probably wouldn't work.

I am still tripping out about Bruce Wayne being "Bruno Diaz" in Spanish comics.

While perusing YoJoe.com, I came across the following cover for a novelization of an episode. After further research, it seems that in Israel, like other non-American countries, GI Joe was called "Action Force," so the transliteration was really bad if the logo does indeed say "Punch Force." Would "Action Force" sound weird if translated word for word?

And did you know that Robin's alter ego was "Ricardo Tapia"?
Not sure about the comics, but that's how it was on the TV series.

G.I. Joe, on the other hand, was known by that name alone in MÚxico, but I don't know if the character names were translated/adapted.

Richard Grayson. Looks like they just changed the last name there. But does Bruno = Bruce in Spanish? Also, when you say TV series, do you mean the silly show from the 60's?

Yeah, some countries such as Japan did go with the real name. Most of the European nations used the "Action Force" moniker, though. They did change the names in Europe...Snake-Eyes was Stalker, Destro was Red Jackal, etc. The enemy wasn't Cobra, either. Action Force fought the Red Shadows, led by Baron Ironblood. In the Devil's Due comics, they found a clever way to work the Red Shadows into continuity.

I dont remember the show but I remember the toys. In the UK the 12" figures were called Action Man and the 4" figures were called Action Force

AFAIK there is no direct equivalent for Bruce in Spanish, so I guess they just went with a name that looked closer to "Bruce".
And I do mean the campy and fun 60s TV show, not the animated series (which are cool, but I haven't watched them much, and I have not watched them dubbed).
That Batman show also translated the names of the villains, in most cases those were simple translations (the Penguin = el Ping³ino, Joker = Guas¾n), some were adaptations ( Mr. Freeze = Sr. FrÝo, Catwoman = Gatubela ). Maybe some other names were changed, can't remember now.
