  • Question about "V"

I have the first DVD of "V" but it ends right in the middle of the series as I saw them on tv. There are also references to "V" The Final Conflict or something, as well as references to a "special miniseries"...?

Can anybody tell me exactly what the correct sequence of the DVDs is and what they're called, etcetera?

    Thanks.

There are two miniseries. Both of them are on "flipper discs" ... So yes, you're right. It does end halfway through ... You need to take the disc out, flip it over, and continue.

    The proper order is:

    V
    V: The Final Battle
V: The Complete Series (1-season tv series)

    That's all so far.

O.K. So if I get V- the complete series will I have everything at once? Or is there stuff on the other disks that is not on 'the complete' (This is semantically impossible but you know what I mean) ?

And about the flipperdisk : I have V (the first series). And that ended weird with the Earth basically being controlled by the aliens. I can't remember if I flipped the disk. Can you tell me where the first DVD ends? Because when I saw it on tv I think it ended with an Earth-victory of some sort.

I can't tell you where it ended, just that the first half is on side A, the second half is on the other side.

The Complete Series is the tv series, not the miniseries. I listed the 3 releases (so far). They do not come as a complete set of all 3, you have to buy V, then V: The Final Battle (miniseries #2), then V: The Complete Series (the one-season tv series).

            Towelmaster:

I think you saw the same international syndication version of V that I saw.
(The difference would be that I saw it dubbed to Spanish)

In that release both miniseries "V" and "V: the final battle" were shown back to back (and I don't remember seeing the final scene of V with the radiotelescope until I rented the DVD).
Years later with the internet I would find that the second miniseries was made without the participation of the original creator (in hindsight I think it shows), and that such continuation was actually filmed several years later....
V: The Series wasn't as good as the miniseries.

But still, if I had the money, I'd consider buying it. The two miniseries I do want to buy one day, but can't right now.

The first mini series dealt with the comming of the Aliens up to the formation of the resistance. The second mini series dealt with the resistance striking back at the Aliens and finally defeating them Or at least chasing them away.

Then a TV series was made which brought back the Aliens. The TV series was in my opinion overkill and it did not last.
