I just read that the Huygens probe landed on Saturn's moon Titan.
Back in 1997, you could send a postcard with your name to JPL and it was to be scanned and put onto the Cassini craft on a special disk. I sent a postcard with my name, along with my husband and one of our friends names. I just thought it would be kind of cool to have that out there in space.
I also registered my name and a few other people for disks that were attached to the two Mars probes. One of the names I registered was for someone at work that had passed away from cancer. It came with a "certificate" that you could print off with the person's name. I gave it to his family because one of the types of instruments on the probes was the same sort of thing that my coworker used on a construction site to test soil samples. I just thought it would be kind of neat for them to have.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else got their names onto those probes.
