I hope WB and Cavill can come to terms and he can stay on as Superman.
Ahhh, Justice League. I laughed so much at all the bits you weren't meant to be laughing at. I actually found the film kinda fascinating for it's car crash mash up of tonally jarring original footage and reshoots. It was like watching a film at war with itself, a film that also seemed intent on trolling itself at every available opportunity. The contrast between the Whedon's newly shot material, and the the Snyder material was so stark, all you could really do was just roll with it and enjoy the disaster. I found it a really interesting piece on how film making by committee fails utterly. Not that I think an all Snyder cut would have been any better, in fact, it'd have been a whole lot less fun to watch.

The reason I agree with this sentiment is that they really shouldn't shakeup this Universe anymore than they already have. Cavill is fine, but I don't see him as really adding much other than maintaining consistency.

Henry Cavill out as Superman in the DC Cinematic Universe. Michael B. Jordan considered to replace him. I just don't see why other than physically he has the muscle tone to pull off Superman, and oh yeah he has the box office draw of being in one of Marvel's most popular movies as well as the critically acclaimed Creed and its about to make a huge ton of money sequel Creed 2. Jordan would be good enough, but I just don't see him bringing anything special to Superman. Someone like Sterling K. Brown comes immediately to mind as being a FAR superior choice, but I'm sure WB thinks he is too old for the part. I will admit that Brown might struggle to bulk up for the physical appearance of the role, but as far as playing the part he would make it awesome. Someone like Brown could bring something Superman needs. Other perfect choices would be Chiwetel Ejiofor or Mahershala Ali. Again age would probably be held against them. I guess I will say until I can think of someone better Jordan is a good enough choice. One thing I will admit is that if it is an utter disaster it won't be because they cast him. Like I said he is good enough, but I just don't feel he would bring anything special to the role. I hope I am wrong and I hope it is a success because I was never really inspired by Cavill.

Of course this could all be game of mirrors and tomorrow Cavill is back. I mean seriously, they have a movie coming out in two months that is connected to Cavill's Universe, so if they do this they are pretty much going to have to replace him with Jordan like Jordan has been playing the part all along. I have no problem with this, but tiny minds will have trouble wrapping their brains around a different actor playing the same Superman.
Yeah, Cavil never did it for me. He doesn't bring the humility to the role that's required. What WB need is a good script, and a good director on board to reboot the whole Superman thing. Snyder is fundamentally awful as a director / writer. I personally think the DCU cinematic universe has been total garbage since Nolan departed.
