Xon/Hyach'do?
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.Tags: None

<<They are growing alright .... sideways>>
Thank you, Jay Leno.
Actually, we are getting taller and taller and heavier and heavier. In California, I ran across few men my height (I actually met a Samoan girl who was my height) but when I moved to the mid-south, I saw all these corn-fed people and was taken aback. I don't feel special anymore.Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. The island was also home to miniature elephants.
i don`t think they lasted too long after humanity arrived on the scene, such is the way of the world."The trouble with being a cynic is that you eventually get labelled as a highly reliable fortune-teller"

You're not up on your Jawese. Shame on you.
Speaking of Jawas, the anthology Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina had an excellent story involving Jawas, Humans and Sand People and the relations between them on Tatooine. I forgot the author or even the title, and I am at work so I can't check on it, but it was an excellent short story. I can't say anymore, as it would give too much away. That book is a mixed bag of good stories, bad ones and decent ones. The one I spoke of is probably the best in the book.Last edited by Dr Maturin; 10-28-2004, 01:22 PM.Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. <<I don't like EU stuff>>
Well, it's a mixed bag like canon. The classics rule, the prequels suck.
I have plugged these books again and again, and I will do so here again: The X-Wing series. They are action/mystery/political thrillers. The main characters in books 1-4 are Wedge Antilles (of course) and Corran Horn (who IS a bit of a stereotypical, invincible hero, but it doesn't hurt the story). Books 5-7 stars a squadron of rejects (also with Wedge) and are quite comical along with the description of 1-4. Book 8 stars Corran again (and somewhat parallels the Iraq War) and Book 9 happens several years later, and is my absolute favorite SW book ever. It's about a conspiracy on an atomic-level world that the Empire and New Republic must get to join their respective governments by "dueling," as per the world's custom.
All of the XW books are by Michael A. Stackpole and Aaron Allston, both game designers and both excellent writers.
These books are the equivalent of the techno-mage books in B5 as they do not star the main characters and really flesh out the universe while still telling stories that are important (in 1-4 they take Coruscant from the Empire).
I say you go buy the XW series now.Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States.
