  • Electric Unicycles are fun.

Never thought I'd ride a unicycle, but I got this 3 weeks ago and it's a blast!

These have been around a few years now and there are lots of brands, mine is a King Song.
The youtube link shows a guy riding one with the same specs:

When I'm out riding it blows peoples minds - lots of smiles and waves.
Like learning to ride a bike, once you get it, it's very natural.
    Now walking is boring

    Want to know more??
The Electric Unicycle Forum is a good place to start.
I did some reading there before purchasing.

Oh, that *does* look like fun! I'd take that over the supposed 'hoverboards' any day.

Once upon a time I actually could ride a regular pedal unicycle.

    Thanks for sharing.

HA! I knew that looked familiar!

At the risk of sounding dumb, how does one mount it and then get it set to run?

That's Thor, inventor or the wheel and the comb.

The easy way to get on it is to lean on something.
Other-wise with one foot on, kick off the ground with the other for a little momentum, then place it on it's peddle.

It operates like a Segway, lean foreword to go and backward on your heels to brake or go backward.

Mine gets 30 miles per charge and can go 18 mph.
It has a warning beep at 15mph to remind me to slow down.

If (when) I fall off it shuts down.
It has a high-tech appeal and fun because it's a challenge.

Wow, that's great. Would love to toodle around like that.

I've posted a video to youtube of me out riding and talking about the unicycle.

It's still February but the weather was really nice out.

Yes, I remember the curious but positive reactions back in the dark ages when I rode my pedal unicycle. All except my next door neighbor who was sure I'd break a bone and made a point to comment every time he saw me. We didn't tell him when I did chip a tooth - but that was the worst.

                Have fun!
