Killjoys

Has anybody else been watching Killjoys? It appears Syfy channel have finally gotten back to what was their core programming used to be (no not Wrestling!), and are once again producing some SF shows.

It took an episode or two for me to warm up to it, but I really ended up enjoying this. It has shades of Firefly and Cowboy Bebop, and definitely does the 'frontier SF' thing quite well. The world building is good and the characters are likeable. I also get the impression they are going for a longer form arc and mystery, which is cool.

I've seen the whole season and I enjoyed it. Nothing ground breaking, but a good solid show.

It’s just been renewed for a second season, so it’s ‘safe’ to get into, knowing more is on the way.

Killjoys and Dark Matter are on my list of shows to watch though they go against my declaration that I wouldn't watch that network's current shows.

I understand the hate, but any new SF show deserves a look and Syfy appear to be really trying with these. I think the old guard has long since left the building.
