    Happy Birthday

    For those of you who may not stray into the JMSNews Information section, specifically, Site Support and Suggestions...we've been talking about A) setting a new record for the most users online ever (currently 34 set on 10/21/03) and B) holding a birthday party for our forums here. The first anniversary of Doug O bringing the JMSNews Forums online is October 13.

    We'll start a thread for Birthday Messages and I'd love to see how many of our 450+ members come by to post a greeting, but I also suggested a window of 5 PM to 8 PM GMT for us all to come visit and try to set that record. Several people have volunteered virtual food and beverages.

          Jan,

          An idea just came to me. I was on one of the Wheel of Time fan sites and they are having a birthday soon as well. In fact they have a little box mentioning that they are turning 6 in days. The box updates automatically, counting down to the birthday. Maybe we can do something like that here and have a link to the Birthday Messsage thread.

          Hmmmmm, my birthday is coming up in a month, maybe I should do something like that on my site...

                    Happy First Birthday!!

                    Since it's almost midnight here on the East Coast of the USA, I'm sure it's the wee hours of the morning of Oct. 13, 2004 in Greenwich Mean Time. So

                        I can't believe it has been a year already! I'd like to say thanks to all the great people here for making this community site a success!

                        Speaking of birthdays, the JMSNews.com site itself is going to be 4 years old in December.
