What was your last movie marathon; Back To The Future, Star Trek 1, 2, and 3?

After reading Heinlen's original Starship Troopers I had to revisit the '97 movie.

Geared to a wider audience, Johnny Rico's solo journey becomes a buddy movie, with Carl, Carmen and Diz.
    - Still a fun ride and carries the spirit of the original tome.

Skip the second movie, J.R. wasn't in it, and on the ST-3 Marauder!
Despite a lower budget, in this '08 flick Rico does a cap jump in a new battle-suit and like the novel, tells and old friend "I'll see you on the bounce".

Finally - ST Invasion, what a ride!
Rico's back as a sage warrior.
Maybe geared to even a wider audience - I had to smile as the movie starts and circle complete with the first paragraph of the book " I always get the shakes before a drop..."

And for something completely different.. I did a Terry Gilliam marathon a while back with Time Bandits, Brazil, and 12 Monkeys - oh my!

I must be weird. I've never liked movies enough to do that. Maybe I'm just old.

Heck, now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever even watched more than 3 episodes in a row of B5!

I marathoned Supernatural season one and up to season 2 something, before getting bored and needing a break.

I prefer to marathon watch a new show so that I don't have breaks in between, but I don't have the attention span that I used to. Or maybe I have higher standards now? Not sure.

Supernatural does the family issues really well. The relationship between Dean and Sam and their dad is really good, but the individual story arcs are kinda lame and disappointing.

I've also heard multiple eps or movies in one sitting described as bingeing.
          I wonder if there's such a thing as a TV hang-over )

My sister gave me season one of Lost - Wow!
I did an episode a day for the rest of the seasons.. an ultra-marathon!!
            - I loved the idea of the funky 70's Dharma Initiative.

I also marathoned Lost. Season one was good, but 3-5 were my faves because I love Juliet and Ben and Sawyer, but especially Juliet and Suliet! I actually liked the finale, too.

                Yes, at least for me.

I hate it, because I never sit down intending to watch many episodes at once. I don't know how many times I've said to myself, I'm just going to put the disc in and cue it up for play all and get past the menu for tomorrow and 3 1/2 hours later I'm tired and putting the next disc in just to cue it up past the menu.

I think the most I watched at once was 8 in a row. Then I'm seeing Shadows smushing Narn fighters when I close my eyes at 4:30 in the morning. It's a little disturbing because you can't close your eyes to stop seeing them as they are already closed. I'm not sure if hangover is the right word, but there certainly is an afterimage, at least for me.
"And what kind of head of Security would I be if I let people like me know things that I'm not supposed to know? I mean, I know what I know because I have to know it. And if I don't have to know it, I don't tell me, and I don't let anyone else tell me either. " And I can give you reasonable assurances that the head of Security will not report you for doing so."
"Because you won't tell yourself about it?"

"I try never to get involved in my own life, too much trouble."

Maybe over saturation if the videos persist when you try to disengage.
I've done that too, and think I saw that happen to Spock with Nomad in the TOS ep 'The Changeling'.

Definitely wrecks your sleep for the next day.

Definitely do this with TV as my DVR starts filling up with multiple shows while I am busy with work. Just did this with the Mentalist, Community, and am halfway through Hannibal. Once I get into it I just start hitting play on the next episode until I am ready to sleep.
