Greetings,

I decided to come out of lurker status and perhaps... start posting. Anyway, did anyone see the Atlantis and SG-1 summer finales? They aren't Season finales, though - What is it with the US and their weird breaks? - The UK showing will probably catch up now, so at least I don't have to wait that long. Anyway - What did you think? I think "Endgame" (SG-1 seems to lack inspiration for titles...) was a little rushed, but it was good to finally see a little more on the NID/The Trust storyline. And one of them got away ! As for Atlantis, well, it's reminding me a little of Voyager in places - But the acting is a little better. I think I actually said to myself "Not good!" out loud, in response to the Jenii (sp?) takeover of Atlantis. So it must be doing something right...

Sigh, just when things start to get interesting, you get a oversized break.

I never liked Stargate,i did love the movie but the series never really "talked" to me,saw only season one and dropped it.

Ah, well I'm somewhat of an "everything" person when it comes to Sci-Fi. Depressing as it is, I think I've seen every episode of every series in the last decade

I've been watching Jeremiah for the past few weeks instead of the Stargates because...well, I've been waiting for them for nigh unto a year now. The Stargates will always be in reruns, I figure. I should be able to catch them again during the upcoming reruns.

As for why the silly breaks...two words: sweeps periods.

But hey, at least Farscape is coming along in October - Being a big fan, I'm over the moon about it. It's not a Season 5, but it's better than nothing I suppose...

Stargate's one of those "oh yeah, that's on" shows for me. Something I'll easily watch if I'm already surfing, but not something I try and set aside time for. I saw the premiere's for this season, and not much else. What I saw was good though - I think Atlantis is doing pretty good for a spinoff.

"Lurker" is an old Usenet term for people who read newsgroups or forums but don't post. JMS named the denizens of DownBelow after online lurkers. (Bit of B5 trivia for you)

I just posted the question to Doug, the Administrator. I've seen Junior, Member, Senior Member and a few other, possibly member chosen designations.

Ok that answers that . At least I know what they are talking about in here. I have looked at other forums but I could not post cause they were talking on dull subjects. I thought I was a fan of jms but WOW I am out of my league here. Some can quote word for word episodes etc . But when they do I remember it then. And I have found a lot of info and links you all are great!!. I am greatful to be in the company of your forum.

No such thing as 'out of your league', honest. Everybody brings their own unique view to the table and that's what makes the conversation interesting. Over on the moderated newsgroup we love it when somebody arrives who's just discovered the show because we remember the coolness of seeing it for the first time.
