    Very sad to hear this.

Yes - a bit sad, but let us rejoice in what he wrote, and be happy he did.

An autobiographical essay by Ray Bradubury only published in the New Yorker the other day:

Remembering his joy at discovering speculative fiction. To quote another author, "Shared joy is increased".

Thankfully his works will live on for generations to enjoy.
What a wonderful world you live in. -
Yeah, well, the rent is cheap, the pay is decent and I get to make my own hours.

I'll always remember him as a kind man, generous with his time, and with a very snarky sense of humor. I'm glad I got the chance to meet him (along with Ray Harryhausen, Forry Ackerman, and Greg Bear) back in 98. He was a very bright light in such a dark world. RIP, Ray, and thanks for the memories.

Alas, all of my favorite authors, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Robert A. Heinlein and now Ray Bradbury, are no longer with us.
