Harlan Ellison's VOICE FROM THE EDGE

For those interested in the fiction of Babylon 5's conceptual consultant Harlan Ellison, he's just released a fourth collection of short stories on audio. Here's the Amazon link:

As an added B5 tie-in, Theodore Bikel (Rabbi Koslov in "TKO" and Lenonn in In the Beginning) reads the title story: "The Deathbird." I'm about half-way through it now and Bikel's voice is PERFECT for what could be described as an atheist's biblical epic.

My highest possible recommendation.

For those whose only exposure to Ellison is by way of his relationship with B5, you owe it to yourself to pick up one of his collections, or listen to this one. Some of the stories will make you feel decidedly uncomfortable, a couple will scare the crap out of you but you definitely won't forget them.

I recently read his comic "Phoenix Without Ashes" which was adapted from a pilot he did that he took his name off of. Really good story. Wasn't too scary, but was very interesting. I highly recommend that for comic readers.
