Amy had some repair done to one of her hands yesterday, Friday the 13th. She's already done some posting on Facebook so it looks like things went well.
When I hear a family member or friend had to go to the hospital, part of me knows that the doctors and staff will be competent, but another part would think having doctors like this would be a hoot.
Thanks very much, all! I am doing much better now, a week after going under the knife (for DeQuervain's tenosynovitis release). I'm an old hand (pun intended) with these hand/wrist surgeries, but you never know exactly how each one is going to go. I'm definitely feeling more pain than I expected, but it's all just better and better each day from this point on.

A perfect excuse for you to have things done for you for a while , like changing over your B5 DVDs!

My husband does take very good care of me, but I can still change DVDs faster than him ù the tv room, and all equipment, is pretty much MINE. (His domain is the studio!)

Amy, I'm happy to see that you are recovering well.
Thanks, Dan. I'm having a great recovery, even: I've spent a lot of my time doing a re-watch of B5. I'm nearly through third season now, and doing random disk-by-disk commentary (not entire write-ups) on the Facebook B5 fan page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Babylon-5/31257643587, in the Discussions area, if anyone's interested). Hand still hurts, but I knew in advance that this surgery has a longish recovery time (it's not done arthroscopically, like carpal tunnel release, so you have a real incision that has to heal).
