  • I knew I shouldn't have...

but I had nothing else to do on sunday evening. So, on my way back from a friend I stopped at a local movie theater and watched "World Invasion".
A recruitment video for the marines would have wasted less of my time and carried pretty much the same message.

Is this the one also know as Battle: Los Angeles? I read a former military man praise some of the military bits but it's not the sort of movie I usually watch.

Yes. The "franchise" title is World Invasion. The sequel (because there's always a sequel) will carry over the WI title with a new subtitle of Battle: x (wherever they decide to set it), according to an article I read in, I believe, Entertainment Weekly.

It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be going in. Based on the reviews, I was expecting an Ed Wood-type movie with a huge budget, something I would be able to laugh and laugh and laugh at. I was disappointed, as the movie didn't suck.

Well, I'd chose Mars Attacks over that flick any time. Heck, even ID4. Since it was also at least funny...

Could have been worse, could have paid to see "Green Hornet."

Saw it today. Felt like the kind of movie ISN would produce under President Clark. As Roger Ebert said: noisy, violent, ugly and stupid.

Heh, I wouldn't even watch that on TV for free! I have the original series featuring Bruce Lee on DVD.
I've never been a friend of remakes. Didn't watch e.g. Ocean's Eleven either.

Ocean's Eleven remake wasn't horrible. It was cute. I mean, you knew what was going to happen and it was giggling at time seeing the actors in their situations. Now should they have made sequels? No, no they shouldn't have.

I preferred the Deep Space 9 ocean's eleven though
