Yeah, Dan, I was really flattered by that comment, and that's the only one I can't identify as one of my friends! (Although I'm sure it is.)

I'm now up to 89, and I've noted that there are only 39 entrants with scores over 100. If all of the people who have voted thus far keep voting for me every day, I think I'm going to break that top 20!

And, thanks DGTWoodward, too! And everybody!

I've now heard that searching on my user id ù fjordstone ù after clicking the "Vote" tab is the way to go, although it apparently sometimes takes *2* tries to find me! And, I also heard the hilarious comment from a longtime online friend that this person will vote for me, but doesn't want to listen to me because they already have an idea of what my voice should sound like, and don't want to be disappointed/challenged by what I *really* sound like. I just thought that was the greatest, funniest thing I have heard all week! My online friends are absolutely, totally, the BEST!

Namoi Houser's (AKA nhouser) list is more accurate and comprehensive. I omitted the top two contestants in my last version of the list.

Amy is now has 101 votes and is ranked 44. She needs at least 88 votes to make the top 20.

Jan, that is a very fortuitous number in the Celtic tradition, where threes are sacred!

I'm feeling a little dispirited this morning as I see the other entrants screaming up the charts...I really hope I can pull up in the numbers. Maybe if I paint myself blue, go out into our tiny stone circle in the backyard, and scream "Victory!" in Gaelic a few dozen times I'll feel better...

So the Celts were the early Minbari?

Also cast vote 107 just now from work.

Cast my vote this morning and saw it was over 100! Can we get the word out on the various JMS FB pages, too? I think anyone who can do status updates, instead of just regular comments, should post, so it goes out to everyone on the lists. Since Amy has been so active, I think those folks would like to help out too!

Jan, I think the Minbari and the Catholics came from the Celts!

I should mention: Jan is the reason I am in this contest, because she is my good friend and knows how much I'd like to get into voice work, and so she brought the contest to my attention. THANK YOU, alt-JMS!!!

Karen, thanks so much, but I don't want to abuse the only JMS FB page I'm on, 'Fans of J. Michael Straczynski.' (Although I wonder if JMS would think I was vote-worthy if he heard my audition... Andreas once told me my voice was sexy, so I know I have/had the stamp of approval of at least *one* official B5 person! )

I've posted this on the B5tv.com forums, and a couple of B5 newsgroups (UK ones; they're still somewhat active ù the only active US one that I'd dare post on is the one I moderate, and it's currently sleeping). And on my local pagan circle's mailing list. Any other ideas? I'm so close! Right now I'm in about 40th place out of nearly 1,000 entrants, so I really feel like we could do this!

Aren't you a member of the JMSnews.com site on FB? It's a sister site of this one, no? As you've already posted here, it should be OK to post there. I thought maybe one of the sites admins on FB could post. That way it will go out to all the people who have liked the page. If you or I were to post, then it would only be seen by those who actually went to the page. Unless you are one of the admins there, too. It was just a thought....

I also have a great bias in favor of altos.

Amy, I thought that you were also a regular on the soap opera USENET groups. Maybe, they can also come to your aid.

I've thought about it, Karen (yes, I'm an admin on the FB page for JMSnews) but I hesitate since A) so far we don't have a lot of followers (fewer than 350) and I don't think it would do Amy much good and B) the page is so new, I think it would be best to keep it to real news about JMS and his work. Here, we can use the Off Topic forum and not be spamming but there, not so much.

                              Hope this makes sense.

Karen, I have to confess, I didn't even know jmsnews.com had a Facebook page!

I also have a great bias in favor of altos.
Dan, I always knew you were a human of infinite good taste.

And yes, I have enlisted the help of my friends on ratsa (rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc) already. Of course, we all have other things on our mind there, chief among them being the cancellation of our soap of 41 years.

Sigh, I'll just have to hope that the numbers will magically grow over the next two weeks, and that the contest bounces anyone who gets votes fraudulently (there's some talk of an entrant who got 200 votes in a number of hours)...

Thanks again, my faithful B5-fan friends!
