  • Video Game Music

Since there's a classic video game thread, I felt there should be a thread for video game music. Whether it came from the arcade or from the home console, if it's a newer game or a game from your youth that brings back fond memories, all are welcome.

I'll post a couple favorites of mine to get it rolling.

    Monty on the Run

    Treasure Trove Cove from Banjo-Kazooie*

*- It was hard to pick just one from the game.

I remember Cannon Fodder's being very distinctive, altho how it didn't get banned I don't know. I did love the music to Project X. I think that was Team 17, and those guys did turn out some awesome games. I shan't hijack your link, but that's just brought a game back to my mind which I'm going to put in the games link
I'm a pessimist: that way you're never disappointed but frequently, pleasantly surprised

Haha, castlevania had a great song to it, and I can't help but love the Final Fantasy 3 music. I actually got some samples of a commodore 64 the other day and found there's a whole community that makes 8 bit music online: http://8bc.org/

http://8bc.org/music/aprilsrain/4Vincent/ here was my contribution once I got those samples.

Got my copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution before work (which couldn't get over quick enough), and I'm still working on the previous games before I play this. I'm odd like that.

Anyway, I sprung for the bonus edition since it had the game soundtrack. This is one of the best I've heard.

I was going to just put up the opening track, but I'm going for the opening credits. Amazing stuff.
