Apart from what's already been stated about weird behaviour of characters, I'm also not a big fan of remakes.

OK, as promised, he's what I thought of what little I watched of "V" .....

I've recorded all but maybe two or three episodes of "V," and have watched part of maybe two episodes, and it didn't hold my interest to even finish either of those episodes. I don't know if something came up, and I didn't get back to it, but there was no real tug on me getting me back to it. There are some shows that if I start watching an ep., I'll finish it, and if I get interrupted (e.g. get called out to work.), I'm dying to finish it as soon as I get back (e.g. Criminal Minds, True Blood, Castle, The Mentalist, Supernatural, etc.); "V" is not one of those. In "V" it seemed that not much really happened in an episode, like it was overwrought and padded for time, like they didn't really have much of a story to tell, almost like a daytime soap. Maybe "V" is science fiction for the Reality TV crowd.

I like the old version the way it was. I thought the acting and behaviour of the main chars was well enough. Okay, the whole Elisabeth thingy got a little cheesy at the end. But still I liked it...)

I watched all of the old version of "V" back when it first aired, and haven't watched any of it since. I liked it a little more than original Battlestar Galactica, which is to say, not much.

Not until I see a signed and notarized statement promising the following:

1. We know what SciFi is, and that it is NOT the same as Fantasy.
2. No Goddamn Vampires, sparkly or otherwise. (Unless a Whedon is involved.)
3. No craptacular Movies of the Week starring mutant sharks, piranhas, octopi, snakes, crocodiles, etc.

Anybody wanna add 4,5,and 6?

4. No cute kids, animals or robots.
5. No genius teenager who saves the others in the nick of time.
6. No military members who relish flaunting authority.
