Especially this. I have been out of work since November last year, from my job of 13 years!

Still, we always try to stay positive. My family's health is good and we are getting by so all-in-all, it could be very much worse. Thank you for asking though....

    Now back O/T....

Glad that more DVDs are on the way, I would get these for my mother as she really liked it.

That seems to be the correct attitude for this series and others that came out of Tribune. It is amazing how much meddling there was and how quickly it decayed.

Didn't the cast line up change from season to season too? With the leading man (Kevin Kilner?) leaving the show after the first year - another similarity?

A like the first season too, but never got to see any more than that. It's a shame about the DVD situation though, So many fans could have caught up that way. Not resolving that must be a major revenue loss.

I am enjoying it, actually. Though it's a lot different than I thought it would be. Right now I'm too obsessed with V to watch anything else, but there are only three episodes left, and then I'll have time to spend on other shows again.

I also have Andromeda now. Watched the first two episodes and really liked them.

My wife loves it. I never got to see it when it was on.

What sux is you may never be able to get the other seasons. Thanks to some gigantic rights cock-up, Seasons 3-5 were released long ago, and are now basically unavailable... unless you don't mind paying $100+ per season.

From what I know, no sign of Seasoon 2 coming, either.

There was some overlap of the shows in airing years, but to be honest the show changes tone almost every season to the point at the end your just happy its over.

As for the Taelon, Vorlon idea. I think it wouldn't be to much of the stretch to say that if that Vorlons acted more in the open there actions would most likely be very Taelon like. At least in context of the first season of Earth Final conflict.

    I hope you enjoy it.

started a topic Earth: Final Conflict

    Earth: Final Conflict

I just started watching this show, have seen through disc three of season one. And I was finding remarkable similiarities between the taelons and the vorlons. With the hint that the taelons had been on earth before, that they influenced earth religions, and that one of theirs was responsible for giving humans psychic abilities. Only the reason was not to prepare us for a war, but to help the future taelons who came to our planet to see us as equals.

I am also seeing a lot of Kosh in Da'an. He is the nice taelon, like Kosh was the nice vorlon. And Zo'or is kind of like evil Kosh (I can't remember his name.)

I just thought the similarities were fun.
Working...
