Hi everyone,
Just a quick recommendation from me. Terra (aka Battle for Terra) is an independent animated sci-fi film that should be playing in the US right now. We saw it at the Fantasy Film Fest a few years ago, and were totally blown away by it. It is definitely not a children's movie, but a very serious work of sci-fi that has way more depth than you'd think, and that really avoids the easy clichés of "evil empire VS noble savages." There are images from the film that are still burned into my brain, and both my girlfriend and I spent the last ten or so minutes of the film trying not to sob.
In other words, I think fans of B5 would enjoy it quite a bit.
